We’re about to find out once and for all if the rest of football views Infantino as a convenient cover for all the s*** they want to do but don’t have the courage to do… or if they’ll finally find some guts and bring him down.

I’ve experienced, or seen the immediate aftermath of, around 30 car bombs, in N. Ireland, Dublin, the UK, Lebanon, Syria & Iraq. They are an evil weapon — totally indiscriminate, and filthy in their effects. Now dissident republicans seem to be making them again. Unbelievable.

I am deeply appalled and angry to see “Firework” used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes. I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it. I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for. My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.

A reminder of how Farage campaigned, and won, in Clacton in 2024. Absolutely sickening. An undercover investigation by Channel 4 News exposed a campaign riddled with extreme racism, homophobia, and even allegations of election spending irregularities. One Reform UK canvasser was secretly recorded suggesting that army recruits should use migrants arriving on Britain’s beaches for target practice. He also told a paramedic to deny oxygen to migrants in need of medical treatment, described Islam as a “disgusting cult,” and directed racist slurs at then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The toxic rhetoric wasn’t limited to one volunteer. Farage’s events manager and other senior campaign figures were also caught making openly homophobic remarks about a police car displaying a Pride flag, mocking officers and saying they should “dance around like fairies” instead of doing their jobs. The undercover footage also captured a senior campaigner casually claiming the local campaign had already spent roughly twice the legal election spending limit, a potential criminal offence. Reform UK later dismissed the comments as isolated incidents or jokes, but the footage raised serious questions about the culture within Farage’s Clacton campaign.

Clarification: Sky News was not at the property at 7.41am. As has already been acknowledged, and as shown in the footage from 10.19am, Sky News was outside a property where Mr Farage was registered to vote at the last election. Sky News did not interact with Mr Farage’s daughter. On a single occasion, we approached the property without a camera operator, identified ourselves as Sky News, and the adult occupant chose not to engage. We were seeking to contact Mr Farage to ask questions about the gift he accepted from Mr Cottrell. This is a well-established and routine journalistic practice when reporting on matters of legitimate public interest. The footage clearly demonstrates that Sky News did not “hound” or pursue Mr Farage’s daughter. At no stage did we seek to speak to anyone other than Mr Farage in connection with this story.
Several media organisations have been hounding my daughter. When I approached the boss of Sky News and complained, they denied any contact — and so did their news report. Sky News are liars. I demand an apology from them and a promise not to repeat it.

Desperate last throw of the distraction dice that has zero bearing on the ongoing investigations into his dodgy bungs.
If I lose, they win. If they win, you lose. If you lose, Britain will forever be broken and nothing will change. We will prevail. My message to the people of Clacton. 👇

Nigel Farage has spent his whole life dodging responsibility for his actions. This new stunt is his latest attempt to escape consequences for his biggest grift. We won’t let him.

Just a reminder that shortly after being appointed president in 2017 that Infantino was instrumental in a major FIFA overhaul that ousted the two independent co-chairmen of the Ethics Committee, Cornel Borbély and Hans-Joachim Eckert. At the time, the committee was actively investigating… Infantino
FIFA President Gianni Infantino: “I have seen the public comments regarding the decision of the independent FIFA Disciplinary Committee related to the suspension of Folarin Balogun, and I would like to reiterate a fundamental principle of FIFA’s governance. “FIFA’s judicial bodies are independent. They operate autonomously, apply the FIFA Disciplinary Code, and decide cases based on the applicable regulations and the specific facts before them. Their independence is essential to the credibility and integrity of football, and this must always be respected. “Yes, I regularly discuss matters related to the FIFA World Cup with the President of the United States, and on this matter, I did receive a call from President Donald Trump, just as I receive calls from heads of state, government officials, football stakeholders and business executives from around the world on many different issues. During our conversation, I explained that there was an ongoing legal process involving FIFA’s independent judicial bodies and that the case would be decided in due course by the competent bodies. That is how FIFA’s system works, and it is a principle that I will always uphold. “I read the decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee when they are issued. Sometimes I am surprised by them. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I disagree. “What I always do, however, is respect those decisions and the autonomy of the bodies that make them. Whether we personally like a decision or not is irrelevant. Respect for independent institutions and the rule of law is what protects the integrity of our competitions and the credibility of FIFA at all times.”

Watched Brexit programme on BBC today. What would Farage, Johnson and Gove say now. We are in a total mess. Small biz can't do biz easy with EU .The biggest disaster I have experienced in my life time. Sunderland tipped the scales. Nissan only went to Sunderland so they could sell cars to the EU at low prices.

Let's just reflect on this for a moment. For the past few months a group of people who style themselves "patriots" have been peddling propaganda on behalf of a foreign state after it sponsored a firebomb attack on our Prime Minister.

It looks as though Vladimir Putin may have ordered an arson attack against the British Prime Minister last year. That is an incredibly serious escalation and shows why we must redouble our efforts with Ukraine and the rest of Europe to resist and deter Putin’s aggression.
