Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei says we need to “pace the frontier” of AI development. Sam Altman and Elon Musk have voiced support, and I agree.
This isn't about stopping innovation. It's about ensuring our ability to understand, secure, and control AI keeps pace with its capabilities.
I want America to lead in AI, but getting the most powerful model out first shouldn't be defined as leadership.
We're not just giving AI more intelligence. We're giving it more authority.
So keep innovating, but when control can't keep pace with capability? Slow down.
