Top judge recuses himself from case to restore claim bad faith actors sabotaged the Party’s chances of winning the 2017 General Election
It is said he and another judge gave inadequate reasons for denying the judge's misconduct + striking out the wrong case looks like bias

Real Labour that should have won in 2017 but for right wing members turning activists away from winnable seats or in 2019 but for dumping soft Brexit voter respect finally 27 months ago should have started mass council home building and deprivatised even under Burnham almost nil.

Ireland’s High Court overturned the visa refusal of 20-year-old Palestinian student Shaymaa Abudalu from Gaza, who had secured a fully funded engineering scholarship at University College Cork.
Judge Anthony Barr cited significant errors in the decision, including overlooked financial documents and evidence of English proficiency, ordering authorities to reconsider her application within 10 working days.
Abudalu, who lost her mother and several siblings in an Israeli airstrike in March 2024, is among Gazan students facing visa barriers despite receiving scholarships.

The Chancellor described today’s budget as a “breathing space” budget. The individual measures to help on the cost of living crisis on energy, housing and food are very welcome but the important issue now is how the time secured as a breathing space is used to address the pressures people are under. The Spending Review next year is the opportunity to develop a radical agenda to deliver the investment needed in our economy and public services and to secure a tax system that redistributes wealth at scale to overcome the levels of inequality and poverty in our society.

As I have been saying repeatedly in my meetings with the Prime Minister and the Chancellor, our members wanted two things from this budget: money in their pockets now, and a plan for investment and jobs.
Whilst there is some welcome news in this budget – including relief on energy bills and some investment in jobs – these are baby steps rather than a decisive leap forward.
The noose around the neck of wages, in the shape of frozen tax thresholds, must be dealt with. Started by the Tories in 2022, it is dragging workers into unfair tax bands and reducing disposable income. This cannot continue.’
This was the government’s first big chance to show real tangible change. The window to win back the working class will not stay open for long.

The world is moving on reparatory justice. Britain is falling behind.
We cannot address 400 years of history in four days.
But if we care about our relationship with the Commonwealth, we must move beyond platitudes toward an apology.

US is disqualified to host the United Nations.
“Do you understand who you are dealing with? This is America. Back up.”
A United Nations meeting was dramatically suspended yesterday after US ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla both ignored the chair’s plea for order in the chamber.
The problem started when Waltz blamed Cubans for the shocking US embargoes and blockades that are causing huge suffering to the people of the island.
Cuban representatives, astonished at the way Waltz blamed the victims for the crisis, in their eyes, stood up and objected, citing Rule 71, which allows listeners to raise a point of order.
Ambassador Waltz responded that the Cubans didn’t like the substance of his speech, so were not raising a point of order.
But when complaints continued, this caused Ambassador Waltz to lose his temper and shout “Back up! Back away. Do you understand what you’re dealing with? This is America.”
.
INTERNATIONAL TERRITORY
The rest of the United Nations was outraged by this attitude, as the UN building is legally international territory.
When Waltz refused to stop his tirade, Khalilur Rahman, chair of the 81st session, ordered that the meeting be instantly suspended. Waltz ignored him.
The meeting was then resumed, but footage of the argument created a huge storm on social media.
Some people in the US defended Waltz’s narrative, blaming Cubans for the suffering caused by the US embargos.
But much of the commentary from the rest of the world said that the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York.
When New York was originally chosen as the site, the US pledged not to politicize US visa access to meetings—but has regularly broken the pledge, such as refusing to allow visas for Palestinians.

"Jewish Israeli and Palestinian Israeli parties teaming up to form a coalition is seen as a political taboo – particularly after anti-Arab sentiment rose in the wake of the October 7 attacks"
Gdn-speak to describe a political system is that deeply racist and normally works on the understanding that Palestinian votes don't count.

The "world of difference" is between laudability and collaboration in criminality on a vast scale.
In the wake of the @BoardofDeputies declaring @TheGreenParty racist, it's worth examining its history and the extraordinary political influence it holds.
2018: Its then president publicly accused @jeremycorbyn of holding antisemitic views amid controversy over Israel and Zionism.
2024: Opposed the UK withdrawing its challenge to the @IntlCrimCourt's jurisdiction over Israel, then condemned arrest warrants against Israeli leaders accused of war crimes.
2025: Launched disciplinary proceedings against 36 of its own Jewish deputies after they publicly condemned Israel's war in Gaza. Five were initially suspended for two years; 31 were reprimanded.
2026: Contacted @andyburnham's team to express serious concerns over his criticism of Israel's conduct in Gaza.
October 2026: Voted 118–1 to declare @TheGreenParty racist over its position on Zionism, urging other parties to distance themselves.
The danger here is the extraordinary political influence this organisation holds.
The Board serves as secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Jews, has direct access to ministers and Parliament, and describes itself as the government's first port of call on Jewish community concerns.
But whose interests is that influence actually serving?
There's a world of difference between protecting British Jewish people from antisemitism and protecting the Israeli state from criticism and international accountability.

The Trump Administration owes Congress answers on its role helping Bolsonaro flee Brazil in contravention of Brazilian law.
