Honest question: aam I crazy for not being scared of the “AI doomsday economy”? Everyone seems scared as shit & I’m like a kid on Xmas morning. Every new release gets me more hyped about all the doors it’s going to open for me financially. I genuinely cant tell if something's wrong with my head.

This above the fold should be ILLEGAL 1 screen, ~40 words, and it does more selling than most brands’ entire advertorial That’s how they double their traffic in 2 months In those 40 words they: > anchored the price at $10,000 without ever showing theirs > opened a loop with “3 things” so you have to scroll > gave you an enemy (clinics losing $10k patients) in 1 line > dropped Harvard + a 21,000-person trial as proof in the next > turned customers into “tribesmen” > made a cocoa tub look like tactical gear with the hard case > put the buy button up top for the ones who already decided All before a single fucking scroll And you’re still wondering why your advertorial doesn’t work...

a 205K visits/month brand's PDP image is literally named "Copy_of_YT_This_Ad_Format_Prints_MAKE_A_COPY_DUMBASS" the rest of the gallery is "ChatGPT_Image_Jun_15_2026" & a pile of Higgsfield renders logo file is still named after their old store nobody renamed a single file & they're selling a cat water fountain ~150K visits in Jul -> ~230K in Aug -> 205.8K in Sep meanwhile you're on revision 7 of a static, arguing with your designer about the shade of blue polish isn't what prints here the angle is: - Repositions a commodity fountain as kidney failure prevention - Opens the advertorial on an x-ray cat with a red arrow on the kidneys (zero product in sight) - Borrows the white coat: DVM quote in a yellow highlight box + "most vets miss it" - Drops "Prevents CKD" as an icon right under the headline (FTC would like a word) - Kills the bowl in the FAQ: still water is "unnatural" for cats - Preempts the Amazon tab: "beware of cheap knockoffs" - Swaps Buy Now for "Check Availability" = lower friction click They don't sell a fountain, they sell the fear of watching your cat's kidney numbers rise P.S. Rename your files after you hit 200K/month

You script, test & iterate thousands of ads, spend a small house worth on testing them at break even every month And then hopefully get 1 winner that actually scales... But then you test 1 lazy ass advertorial, created in 5min with ChatGPT... Spend maybe $100 on it, get 0 sales... Change the CTA color from orange to green... still 0 sales... Then confidently declare that advertorials DON'T work Do I even need to continue explaining why they haven't worked for you thus far? Look at this 969K visitors/month masterpiece, generating a couple of $ Ms per month Every damn section is surgically tested & curated to get the reader completely hooked in The title's structure: > Command + invisible enemy, highlighted ("Stop Poisoning Your Skin & Hair!") > Story frame (My Brother's Eczema Battle) > Discovery promise (The Toxic Truth About Your Shower Water) Only the pain gets the neon highlight, so the skimmers get the whole pitch in 6 words Most hero images on advertorials are lousy half assed Nanobanana prompts, this one is a native style clickbait beauty you would expect on an ad, not an advertorial > real rash on a real torso next to a rusty pipe puking brown water > "This is my brother" -> "This is POISONING YOU!" > problem + villain in 1 image, before you read a single word Then the rest: - Opens on bloody sheets from scratching in his sleep (Negative Visual Stimuli, in text form) - Lists every failed fix: dermatologists, prescription creams, shampoos, hair masks -> kills the alternatives & tells the reader it was never their fault - Reveals the villain in caps: IT WAS OUR WATER - Names it "The Chemical Waterfall" & compares it to shampoo labels & toothpaste warnings (your water gives zero warning) - Stacks authority: ASCE gave US water a D grade, 98% chlorinated, 85% hard water - Drops the stat that does the heavy lifting: 1 hot shower = more chemicals absorbed than drinking 8 glasses - Splits the damage into hair, skin & whole body (fatigue & brain fog you thought was "just aging") = 3 demos pulled into 1 page - "Screw it, let's make our own" origin story, trashes cheap Amazon filters & pretty designer ones in 2 lines - Introduces the mechanism stupid simple: 15 layers, KDF-55, Calcium Sulfite, coconut carbon - Aikidos the #1 filter objection (weak pressure) by claiming the opposite: +200% pressure - Proof stack: 97% softer skin after shower 1, 89% shinier hair in a week, a "Best Shower Filters of 2025" award naming Canopy & Jolie as losers - Testimonials with age, state & job (Erika 42, Sarah 38 teacher, Jennifer 45 attorney) because "Sarah K." convinces nobody - 4 "Do you want to keep..." questions with red X's, pure pain re-agitation right before the ask - Risk reversal made personal: "60 days to try eskiin on me & Wes" - Price reframed to 33 cents a day & the "accounting keeps telling me this isn't sustainable" line (oldest trick in the book, still works) - Future paces twice: 30 days from now you're either showing off your hair or wishing you started today - Dated stock update for scarcity - Comments section is a second sales page: a plumber vouching for pressure, a dermatologist, an Ozempic hair loss mom, "ATTENTION MEN", & a woman asking about the year-round package (upsell planted in the comments for a thicc AOV) - 5 identical CTAs + sticky sidebar, same trust bar under every single one Not 1 section is filler So if you hold your ads to "test 50 hooks before you call it", hold your advertorials to the same bar 1 ChatGPT draft & 1 button color swap isn't a test, it's a eulogy And if you're actually serious about building 1 like this, DM me "Advertorial"

Strong brand that still wants a piece of the DR money? Steal this LP It's a sales letter disguised as a founder's hero journey (half advertorial, half PDP) - Headline: "My Testosterone Was Crashing While I Did Everything Right" -> first person + "did everything right" = reader feels seen AND off the hook before line 2 - Calls out the problem in the demo's own words (belly that grows no matter what you cut, soft chest, zero drive) - Absolves: not your fault, "Today men feel finished at 40" while Vikings swung axes into their 50s - Introduces the unique mechanism: Arctic reindeer walk 5,000 km/year, so the nutrition gets packed into the organs - Names the invisible enemy: caged corn & soy cattle, growth hormones, microplastics - Reversal: founder flies home to Norway, eats liver, heart & testicles every day (yes, testicles), T climbs - Drops the product only now, as the lazy version (freeze dried, 2 capsules, no diet overhaul) - Lists benefits (94% increased T, "melts man boobs & beer belly") Then the PDP takes over: > 3 bundles, 1/2/4 jars ($49.99 -> $37.49/jar) (for a thicc AOV) > countdown timer + end of sale scarcity > 3,023 reviews, 100,000+ sold, verified testimonials > positions against TRT (make your own T vs lifelong script) > 30-day guarantee: "Low T will not return" Brand stays intact, DR does the selling Chess

blows my mind how few brands abuse hybrid VSL advertorials > advertorial headline: "Why Does It Feel Like Your Food Is Just 'Sitting' in Your Stomach?" > right under it, the "viral video": 1 enzyme capsule dumped on chocolate pudding, liquefies in seconds > full article below for everyone who won't press play > sticky offer box on the side for the ones who already decided The philosophy: The video IS the mechanism You don't explain how enzymes work, you show pudding dissolving & let the brain do the math on what's happening in your stomach Then the copy does the stuff video is bad at: probiotics vs enzymes (demolition crew vs maintenance crew), 16 enzymes listed, 40,000 reviews, $1.33/day, 60-day guarantee Watchers get the proof in 10 sec, readers get the mechanism & objections, skimmers get the offer box 1 URL catches all 3 (pure VSL bleeds the readers, pure advertorial bleeds the watchers)

Your advertorial doesn't convert? It's probably NOT the offer (or the page, or the 47 testimonials) It's the 3 lines at the top 90% of readers never get past This one looks stupid simple It's anything but: After 32 Years => odd number reads like a real person, not a copywriter at a Desk => calls out the demo in 3 words & hands them a villain that isn't them (it's the job, not your fault) His Legs Felt Like => his, not yours is a story, not an ad. Reader stops defending & starts projecting They Were Filled With Wet Sand => names the symptom in the customer's own words, zero medical terms by 3 PM => timestamps the pain, everyone with the problem knows exactly which hour that is Here Is What Finally => quietly admits they already tried socks, stretching & walking breaks; solution fatigue handled in 1 word Made Them Feel Light => is the literal opposite of wet sand; Metaphor closing Again => restoration, not transformation (way easier to believe you can get back what you had) No product, no mechanism, no brand. Pure open loop (the only way to find out is to read further) Identity -> symptom -> timestamp -> promise Study son

this isn't advertorial > PDP it's 3 pages, each doing 1 job Page 1, the bridge: editorial costume, 1 angle, no price. Cheap & disposable, so you can spin up a men's version, a women's version, a coffee drinker version, all pointing at the same offer page Page 2, the offer page: long-form sales letter dressed as a PDP. No cart, no variants, still no price. Every CTA dumps into the order form with the source code in the querystring Page 3, the order form: free gift auto-added, $159 anchored to $119, "free trial, just cover shipping"... & the rebill lives in the terms Price doesn't appear until page 3 & the aggressive claims sit 2 clicks off the ad Chess

Your brand isn't "too big" for direct response And with that mindset, it never will be Unless your business model doesn’t involve selling shit in exchange for money

I analyze hundreds of Ecom Advertorials per week Here's what the biggest scalers are doing: - 99% close on a guarantee - 99% name a real competing drug, device or procedure as the villain - 76% use whistleblower framing - 59% run a multi-fault mechanism ("three things must be fixed at once"), which doubles as a moat against single-ingredient competitors - 47% run the wrong-target reframe - 89% put a hard number in the headline

I’ll die on this hill… There is absolutely no reason you should follow her advice
I'll die on this hill... There is absolutely no reason you should touch paid ads until you're doing $5 to $10 million in revenue. Learn how to create demand organically through content, partnerships, and outreach first. That's enough to take you to that 5-10M mark. Then once that engine is running, layer ads on top. If you do it the other way around you risk getting eaten up by rising ad costs before your margins can absorb it.

This year we spent over $2.4M just on "Claude advertorials" for a client If you're still sleeping on them, here's the laziest way possible to get your beak wet: 1. Create 20 different pure text static images, with just text for testing your Problem Aware angles: > Send them to homepage or PDP; Conversion rate is going to suck but it doesn't matter. You just want to find 1 outlier that gets most spend 2. Take winning angle & find competitors' highest spending advertorials, dissect their structure & copy flow with Claude 3. Emulate them by leveraging your Brand Context file in Claude (should have all the details about your USPs, positioning, market gaps, reviews, etc.) 4. Build & publish on free domain in Lovable (I prefer over Claude for design) 5. Use Gempages AI to analyze and auto build it directly on Shopify Congrats, now you finally have a 7-figure advertorial

ok sure AI UGC (still) looks fake (in most cases) but you're thinking about it the wrong way with AI you can generate unlimited angles/hooks/personas etc. in a heartbeat, almost for free and only after finding the best combo, hire an actual person, and give em the best possible script
