A major milestone for the Buying American Cotton Act: 100 co-sponsors in the U.S. House of Representatives! This bipartisan support reflects growing momentum to strengthen demand for U.S. cotton and put more products made with natural fibers on store shelves across America. Thank you to every Member of Congress who has joined this effort. We look forward to continuing to build on this momentum. See link below to view sponsors of the bill (in addition to Reps. Andy Harris and Mike Gallagher). congress.gov/bill/119th-cong…

Now through November 15, when customers activate an eligible Starlink kit bought at any Tractor Supply store or their website, @Starlink will donate the value of the customer’s first month of subscription service to the National 4-H Council, generating funding for local 4-H programs that help equip young people with the skills, experiences and opportunities needed to be Beyond Ready for work and life. SpaceX is also providing 100 Starlink kits and fast, reliable internet service to 4-H clubs serving rural youth, generating opportunities for students to participate in hands on experiences that prepare them for life, including STEM, educational and workforce development. “Connecting the unconnected has always been at the core of Starlink’s mission. We’re excited to work with Tractor Supply and 4-H to help bring reliable, high-speed internet to rural communities across America. By expanding access, we can support 4-H’s efforts to deliver STEM education and create new opportunities for youth.” - David Goldman, VP of Satellite Policy at SpaceX

Thank you, President @realDonaldTrump, for your strong support of the Buying American Cotton Act. ACSA urges Congressional leaders, including @LeaderJohnThune and @SpeakerJohnson, to pass this important legislation to strengthen American agriculture, support U.S. cotton, and advance the health of all Americans. “If S. 1919 were presented to the President, his advisors would recommend that he sign it into law.” Statement of Administration Policy: whitehouse.gov/wp-content/up…

ACSA welcomes the reciprocal trade mechanism for cotton established in the recent Section 301 remedy! Thank you to Ambassador @JamiesonGreer and Ambassador Julie Callahan for a framework that begins to build structural demand for American cotton fiber. This is a meaningful step for our industry! Nearly 90% of the U.S. cotton crop is exported, and Americans buy ~4x more cotton goods made with foreign fiber than with our own. The new reciprocal trade mechanism reaches four economies today. We'd encourage @USTradeRep to carry it into other key cotton centric marketplaces, including Pakistan, India, Vietnam, and China.

The facts don’t lie: American-grown cotton represents only 4 million of 20 million bales consumed in the U.S. each year. The Trump Administration and @SecRollins are doing right by our farmers and consumers by promoting American-grown cotton with the Great American Cotton Plan. It puts our farmers first, supports long-term sustainability for the industry, and provides the American people with safe, affordable, and natural fibers that we should be using. Congress should immediately pass the Buying American Cotton Act to support U.S. farmers, rural communities, and American manufacturing.
The Great American Cotton Plan is about one thing: Putting American cotton first again. Real “_____” wear cotton. 👖🌱 Americans. Cowboys. Farmers. Families. MAHA. Because cotton is real, natural, American-grown, and made by U.S. farmers. Here’s the plan 👇    ✅ Promote natural American-grown fibers over synthetic, plastic-based materials   ✅ Expand domestic cotton manufacturing and textile production   ✅ Increase export opportunities for U.S. cotton producers   ✅ Strengthen support for cotton mills and processors   ✅ Protect cotton growers from market volatility and adverse risk   ✅ Modernize facilities and expand production capacity   ✅ Support long-term profitability for America’s cotton farmers      This is about rebuilding an industry that supports jobs, rural communities, American manufacturing, and our agricultural future.      Plant, not plastic.

“This legislation provides much-needed stability for our producers and helps ensure they can continue delivering high-quality American cotton to markets here and around the world.” Thank you @RepEzell for supporting the Buying American Cotton Act and understanding the vast utility of cotton in products from clothing, medical supplies, and much more.

The world's largest consumer market for textiles should be the world's largest opportunity for U.S. cotton farmers!
The U.S. consumer is the single most powerful force in the global textile market. Yet 90% of the fiber in the products they buy is primarily foreign cotton and oil-based polyester — not American grown cotton. Consumers are largely unaware. The world's largest consumer market should be the world's largest opportunity for U.S. cotton farmers. Industry leaders are working hard with congress to make the Buying American Cotton Act (BACA) a 2026 priority.
