Well. Leo singles and gets thrown out at 2nd after Duran bobbles the ball.
Marlins challenge and call is overturned.
Marlins have 3rd and 1st with nobody out here in the bottom of the 8th. Gotta retake the lead here.
Leo Jimenez pinch hitting for Joe Mack in meaningful at bat. Now Brian Navaretto will have to enter the game. Genuinely blows my absolute mind.
Bases loaded and 1 out for the Marlins with Edwards coming up.
0-11 with runners in scoring position tonight. Now would be an ideal time to come through.
Here we go again. 1st and 2nd nobody out. 0-8 with runners in scoring position. You’ve gotta do something right here.
And they don’t. 0-8 with runners in scoring position. You can’t win baseball games when you can not score runs.

Agustín Ramírez is getting work at first base again - similar to his time with the Yankees in 2024.
A catcher by trade, Ramírez shares how he felt when the Marlins approached him about adding another position, why he’s been willing, even excited, to take it on, and the biggest areas of focus as he continues developing at first base.

NEW: Agustín Ramírez Opens Up on Demotion, 1B Work & Marlins Future
I caught up with Miami Marlins’ Agustín Ramírez at loanDepot park.
We covered:
•How he feels at the plate right now and the confidence he has carried since returning from Triple-A.
•What went through his mind after being optioned in early May - and how he processed a three-month stint in the minors.
•The work he put in offensively and defensively at Triple-A, even if the numbers on paper didn’t fully reflect it.
•What the Liam Hicks trade and the Marlins’ renewed opportunity mean for his confidence.
•How he felt when the Marlins approached him about working at 1B and the biggest areas of focus as he continues developing there.
•Whether playing the field helps him feel more productive offensively, despite his numbers being stronger when he is strictly a DH.
•How much the rest of this season could shape his long-term future in Miami.
•What the best version of Agustín Ramírez looks like.
I’m forced to watch Leo Jimenez strikeout and groundout every single at-bat while this guy is hitting moon rockets every night in Triple-A. A very sad situation with Deyvison De Los Santos. Marlins should be ashamed.
