In 25 years of teaching, I have never seen such a rapid & fundamental change in the way children are thinking, behaving & interacting. I thought it was Covid but I now think it's the digital age they're growing up in & I really hope people cleverer than me are looking in to this.
If you think learning styles exist, it doesn’t mean that the good learning you want is happening. If you don’t think learning styles exist, it doesn’t mean that the good learning you want is happening.

I’ve been through many governments I have liked and disliked. The last six years of this Tory government have been the worst in my lifetime. No big ideas, no moral core, cronyism, self-interested groups arguing with each other. A complete shambles.

They partied , they bet on elections , they crashed the economy, they broke every public service, they destroyed integrity and honesty in public office , they paid their mates billions , they put their friends in the House of Lords, they gave their cronies knighthoods, they went into the jungle , they lied again and again, they were convicted by police, they went on holiday when they shouldn’t and they have the cheek to question Keir Starmer’s work ethic. I would never take anything for granted but I hope they are annihilated on Thursday. The worst people and government we have ever had!
P.S good afternoon all 😊❤️

We didn't have parties to "boost morale".
We didn't have quiz nights.
We didn't have champagne.
We watched our colleagues die.
We watched the bodies pile high in their thousands.
These lying, cheating, self-serving charlatans need to be flung out of office.

Sunak talks of mob rule rather than democratic rule. Have you seen how much GB news is paying some Tory MPs for second jobs? Mates huge rates for Covid equipment? They are an undemocratic mob themselves.

I’m not saying teaching is unimportant. That would be idiotic. It’s one of the most important factors that affect learning. What I am saying is that a teacher who looks good is not sufficient evidence that learning is happening.

We spend too much time talking about, legislating for and being judged on the factors that affect learning before we talk about learning. It’s back to front and we are all suffering, especially children and students.
