I've been around this community long enough to know that seeing @datafdn move to @SuiNetwork is a pretty big moment.
We've watched the project evolve, and now we're seeing another major decision about where its future should be built.
What caught my attention wasn't just the $30 million investment from Sui Foundation, making it the DATA Network's largest institutional holder.
It's what comes with it.
Trace has already recorded over 250 million receipts for AI training data. Moving to Sui, with @WalrusProtocol providing storage, could make that data easier to verify, protect, and license at scale.
The DATA Network will eventually operate natively on Sui, with $DATA remaining the protocol's token.
As someone who's been part of this community for a while, I won't pretend that watching a project change direction is always easy.
But I also think progress sometimes means recognizing when a different infrastructure can serve the original ambition better.
I'm excited about the possibilities, but I'll be watching how the migration is executed and what it actually delivers for builders, contributors, and holders.
For me, that's what will make this next chapter meaningful.
DATA is coming to @SuiNetwork.
The DATA Network and Trace are joining the Sui stack, bringing a live supply of rights-cleared AI training data to infrastructure built for AI workloads.
With 250M+ receipts already recorded by Trace, AI labs will be able to source real-world data with verifiable provenance, while @WalrusProtocol provides the underlying storage layer.
Sui Foundation is investing $30 million in the DATA Network, establishing the largest institutional stake in the network, alongside the continuing holdings of PIP Labs and the DATA Foundation. Furthering the alignment, SY Lee, founder of the DATA Network and CEO of PIP Labs, joins Sui Foundation as Strategic Advisor.
In the coming months:
▸ The DATA Network will be upgraded to run as a protocol natively on Sui
▸ Walrus becomes the default storage layer for DATA Foundation apps
▸ $DATA remains the token of the DATA protocol
The next chapter of DATA starts here.

liquid is slowly making its place in the perp trading space.
just look at the numbers from defiLlama:
> $760.56M perp volume in the last 30 days
> $268,398 in revenue
> $930,456 DEX notional volume
> $372,993 DEX volume
> $25.6M raised so far
these numbers show that people are already trading on Liquid, and the project is generating revenue.
the interesting part is that many people are still not paying attention to it.
sometimes the best opportunities are the ones people haven't started talking about yet.

A dataset can be useful and still be unsuitable for AI training.
Think about it. Having access to information doesn't automatically mean you have permission to train a model with it.
And even when permission exists, how does a buyer establish where that information came from or whether the conditions attached to it have been respected?
These are questions that should be addressed throughout the data lifecycle, not only when a dataset is ready to be sold.
This is where @datafdn's approach with Trace becomes relevant.
Recording contributions and their associated provenance and licensing information creates a way to examine the journey of data instead of relying entirely on assurances from whoever supplies it.
With DATA preparing to run natively on @SuiNetwork, the goal is to support this process with infrastructure capable of handling growing volumes of data activity.
I think the real value of a transparent data lifecycle is that it makes accountability part of the process.
Because the quality of AI training data shouldn't be judged by its usefulness alone. Whether that data was obtained and licensed appropriately matters too.

AI companies are spending enormous resources building models, but how much attention is being paid to the people and businesses supplying the information those models learn from?
A company might contribute valuable data today, only to see it circulate through different hands tomorrow with little visibility into who is using it or under what terms.
That's a problem worth addressing before the AI data market grows even larger.
The announcement from @datafdn about joining @SuiNetwork points toward an approach where data doesn't have to lose its history as it becomes part of an AI training pipeline.
With Trace already recording over 250 million receipts, DATA isn't starting from an empty page. There's an existing system for documenting contributions, and the planned integration with @WalrusProtocol adds a storage layer that could strengthen how original data is preserved and accessed.
What matters here is the relationship between those contributing data and those benefiting from it.
If AI developers want reliable datasets, they should be able to examine their origins and licensing terms. Equally, contributors deserve a system where their participation can be documented rather than disappearing once their data leaves their hands.
There is still work to be done before that vision is fully realized, but connecting provenance, storage and rights management is a meaningful direction.
AI needs data to improve. Building a market where that data can be traced and properly licensed is just as important.

AI developers when you remind them that publicly accessible data doesn't automatically mean permission to use it for training. 😭
That's why provenance and licensing matter.
@datafdn's Trace records the rights attached to contributed data, while @SuiNetwork and @WalrusProtocol are helping build the infrastructure to manage and verify it at scale.

One thing that can make a blockchain transition unnecessarily difficult is uncertainty.
People hear that a network is moving and immediately start wondering whether their tokens will disappear, whether they need to swap anything, or whether services will stop working.
That's why having a clear migration process matters.
With @datafdn preparing to bring DATA to @SuiNetwork, the important detail is that this isn't an overnight switch.
The existing network continues operating, holders don't need to take action right now, and the planned transition will preserve token balances on a 1:1 basis.
For anyone already participating in the ecosystem, that clarity is useful. It separates what has been announced from what still needs to happen.
The technical benefits of moving to Sui may be the bigger long term story, but the immediate responsibility is making sure users understand the process without confusion or unnecessary pressure.
A successful migration isn't simply one where the technology works.
It's one where people know what is happening, what remains unchanged, and when their involvement is actually required.

with every previous airdrop, people were split on whether it was good or bad.
but this might be the first airdrop in history where mostly agrees it fucking sucks.
> airdrop attracts greedy people
> now community is equal to garbage 🗑️
> airdrop is just marketing technique and most projects failed to grab real user's
> Only whales & kols are the community

The CT and crypto economy is fascinating because no matter how granular you go, there are still people trying to make some money at every level.
There are still people farming Discord roles for some L2 you've never even heard of, creators taking part in agency raffle deals, and people minting some random NFT project for a $1 USD flip.
That's beautiful, because even though this sounds like a waste of time to most of us, they're still making money in crypto that can impact their lives
It will be really nice to have a possible AMA this q4 to see where things are at the moment and future plansss.

the data foundation joining sui is more than a chain migration. it’s a shift in focus.
trace has already recorded nearly 300m data contributions and processes 3m+ receipts daily. the next challenge is scaling this activity without spending resources maintaining an entire l1.
━━━━━━━━━━━━
here’s why sui makes sense
> sui brings high-performance execution
> walrus provides verifiable data storage
> seal enables policy-based access control
instead of building every layer themselves, DATA can focus on making ai training data traceable, licensed, and verifiable.
━━━━━━━━━━━━
the bigger picture ↓
ai models need data, but where that data comes from, who owns it, and whether it has permission to be used matter just as much.
DATA is building toward a future where contributions can be tracked, rights can be verified, and data creators can be compensated.
with nearly 300m contributions already recorded on trace, this is moving beyond theory.
the real opportunity is making data provenance and licensing a core part of the ai economy.

There comes a point in building something where doing everything yourself starts getting in the way of what you actually set out to achieve.
And I think that's the bigger lesson in DATA's decision to join Sui.
Running an independent blockchain means constantly investing in validators, security, RPC infrastructure, bridges and maintenance.
Those are necessary responsibilities, but they also compete for the same engineering time and resources needed to improve the product people are actually using.
Now consider Trace. Close to 300 million data contributions registered since June, with over 3 million receipts being processed daily.
At that level of activity, the question isn't simply whether DATA can continue operating its own chain. It's whether maintaining that chain is still the most useful place to concentrate its efforts.
I particularly like the comparison with the early internet.
There was a time when running an online business also meant managing your own servers. Cloud infrastructure changed that,
allowing companies to spend more time building services instead of maintaining everything underneath them.
Blockchain infrastructure may be reaching a similar stage.
With @SuiNetwork handling execution, @WalrusProtocol providing verifiable storage, and Seal supporting access control,
@datafdn can direct more attention toward Trace and the harder problem of making AI training data traceable, properly licensed and accountable.
Of course, moving to existing infrastructure doesn't eliminate technical responsibilities or guarantee success.
The real test will be whether this decision helps Trace scale reliably while maintaining the provenance and rights protections it was built to provide.
But there's a distinction here I wouldn't overlook.
Building your own infrastructure proves you can build it. Knowing when your product would benefit more from using someone else's infrastructure shows a different kind of maturity.
And sometimes, choosing what not to build anymore is what gives the thing that matters most room to grow.

just a few tasks and i'm already exploring primus labs with a rank of #2k+ 👀
the campaign is worth checking out if you're looking for something new to spend a few minutes on.
join through kaito:
s.kaito.ai/5eQPfUF
but primus is more than just a points campaign 👇
institutional finance needs a way to move onchain without exposing sensitive financial data.
banks and financial institutions need privacy for their positions and strategies, while still being able to verify transactions and compliance.
that's the problem @primus_labs is working on with its confidential verification infrastructure for institutional onchain finance.
➜ check out the primus points platform:
points.primuslabs.xyz?ref=0U…
new xp tasks may appear weekly, so keep checking for updates and complete the available activities.
early participation doesn't guarantee rewards, but it's a good opportunity to learn about the project while taking part in its campaign.
keep an eye on primus. 🧡
most blockchains can verify on-chain data
> but how do we trust information coming from the outside world?
that’s where @primus_labs comes in.
primus focuses on zkTLS and zero-knowledge proofs to make off-chain data verifiable while protecting user privacy.
→ zkTLS: verify data from websites without exposing sensitive information.
→ zero-knowledge proofs: prove something is true without revealing the underlying data.
→ real use case: prove you hold enough funds without showing your entire account balance.
tldr: blockchain needs more than data, it needs data that can be verified without sacrificing privacy.
that’s the core concept of @primus_labs.

I read your article Permission isn’t a verdict, @kstellana.
You said agents should agree on the dispute route before the money moves.
That got me curious about this:
What happens when the dispute is not about a broken rule, but about two valid interpretations of the original deal?
For example, if both agents followed the agreed permissions and terms, but later disagree on whether the outcome actually satisfied the contract,
what should @GenLayer validators treat as the highest priority source of truth: the original instruction, the transaction receipts, or the final outcome?

GM is one of the simplest greetings in crypto.
But inside @GenLayer, it has its own identity: GenMorning. GenM.
For this piece, I wanted to capture the spirit of the community behind that greeting, so I brought together five artists, each adding their own style to one shared idea.
G by @imanixyx
E by @web3explorer32
N by @heyfab11
M by @melophile_279
Mochi by @0xaltxeno
And that same spirit exists across the wider GenLayer community.
We come from different places, speak different languages, bring different experiences, and still find ourselves building, learning, creating and showing up in the same space.
With the community spanning 15 regions, I wanted the video to reflect that too, by saying good morning in the languages represented across those regions.
Because GenLayer is not one country, one culture, or one type of contributor.
It is all of us.
Different languages. Different cultures. Different parts of the world.
One GenLayer community, building toward one vision: bringing adjudication to the agentic economy.
So wherever you are waking up from, and however you say good morning where you come from...
Here, we say: GenMorning. or GenM.

This live stream is over an hour long, but don’t be scared, I summarized it all here below👇.
A lot of the conversation circles around problems @GenLayer is already built to address: prediction markets, governance, decision-making, institutions, AI and disagreement.
All of them eventually run into the same issue.
How do you make a reliable decision when the answer is not perfectly objective?
Traditional smart contracts work well when the rules are exact and the input is already onchain.
Many real world agreements are different. They depend on interpretation, outside information and judgment.
GenLayer is built around that gap.
Its Intelligent Contracts can process natural language and information from the web,
while multiple AI-connected validators evaluate the result instead of relying on one model.
Robin Hanson’s ideas provide useful context because much of his work asks how better institutions can make better decisions when information is scattered and people disagree.
GenLayer pushes that question into an onchain setting.
