So, after a tense vote with unsubstantiated accusations of spoiled ballots, we have a winner...congratulations to Bakeoff newbie Lauren Jenkins, who picked up first prize with her 'Up, Up and Away' cake.
Well done to Lauren and everyone who took part!

Our final entry in this year's contest, Bake #4 takes us to the altogether sunnier climes of Paradise Falls, with the house from Disney's Up lovingly rendered in vanilla sponge, with vanilla cream icing.
The makeup of the balloons remains a closely guarded secret, we're told.
Bake #3 takes an altogether more avant-garde approach, with Junya Ishigami's 2019 Serpentine Pavilion faithfully recreated with a biscuit base and triple-chocolate marble tiles...
Bake #2 takes us across the pond to New York, with the Brooklyn Biscuit! This structural masterclass involves homemade biscuits held together with icing sugar cement and supported by strawberry lace cables...we're told the SER is in the post...
