crypto startups desperately need card issuers that are globally accepted at major merchants while also sympathetic to the unique needs of a crypto company.
i literally led growth at the largest crypto credit card company and this was one of our biggest hurdles.
Talking to @randombankguy about crypto, and the gap that exists for startups really opened my eyes on what’s possible.

I'm starting to sense a divide in the tech industry:
- People thriving on autonomy who are reinventing how they work and what tools they use with AI: LOTS of work, but they're enjoying it and getting very efficient
- People used to being mentored / trained / or simply told what to do and how. Frustrated with the lack of guidance from management on what to do with AI; also frustrated by seeing some of their peers thriving; increasingly bitter about AI and the state of the industry, as a whole
Neither group seems to be aware that there's another group, or have empathy for the other group
it’s very difficult to cultivate a good intuition as an investor if you haven’t worked at an early stage company yourself.
you need to cut your teeth at a startup to have the founder empathy and product sense to know which startups are worth betting on.
there are a few exceptions, but most great investors were founders themselves at one point.
agencies are promising you 1 million views in 90 days and charging you $10,000+ 😭
or you can just shit post and get 2.6 million in a single day.
