I've spoken with Kenney before and he is a straight up luddite. To the point where his recent gamejam disallowed any usage of AI in any capacity. It's actually an amazing time to be an indie developer, you can get so much done nowadays offloading all the boring work to AI.

You dont need full accuracy in gamedev, and if you do, you can just get AI to write a test suite to verify the behaviour you need for your game. Also, you really believe a visual scripter will be able to solve bugs? what if the bug is an engine issue or a layer under scripting?

Yeah, we are thinking of holding a contest at some point with a prize pool. Maybe when we get closer to a steam demo release.
I am optimistic about coordination. Warning shots like the cottage becoming increasingly playable have made development pauses more viable. I don’t feel like we’re on track to prevent release, which may require costly actions such as a temporary ban on finishing the game.
