I once worked for a small company with a pretty fun internal culture. One week the co-founders went to a VC retreat and came back announcing that everything fun was going away and feedback was not welcome. Then I was laid off in Sept 2023. This is the Tech Right demarcation for me. It’s all very new and trickled down from literally only a few dozen people with money. It’s not as deeply entrenched as they’ve wanted us to believe either, clearly. We can undo this! We can go back to more optimistic and lighthearted visions in tech. I hope!
