Billions of dollars’ worth of contracts predicting oil would fall and the S&P 500 would rise were placed about 15 minutes before Trump announced a U-turn on Iran in a post on Truth Social. CFTC staff began to investigate-- then were told to lay off. bloomberg.com/news/features/…

I wish all agent interfaces would adopt message queuing as a default instead of interruption, but then let me interrupt as a second step if desired. (Thanks, @cursor_ai & looking at you for an update @ChatGPT)

Why is the administration going to such great lengths to prevent the disclosure of the Epstein files? What is in there?
I predicted they’d call off Congress until the election to stop our new Epstein bill. Johnson said on TV that was “stupid” and “nonsensical.” But then he got a call from “upstairs” and canceled Congress from the middle of September until the election.

we got hit with a crazy scam attempt someone signed up for our inference and did a video call with our sales person confirming intent to spend $400,000 over the next year and asked for increased rate limits our sales person felt like something was off so he looked up the company - found a bunch of videos of the CEO and it looked and sounded like the same person he talked to so he figured it was real but we started looking deeper the email they had been talking to us from was a lookalike domain that was registered 4 days ago. all the traffic they were sending looked bizarre and came from foreign IPs emailed them for more info to see what they'd say. of course they hit us with the "i'm about to get on a plane, can't do anything right now, please move forward" messaged the real CEO on instagram and yeah he had no idea what we were talking about, the scammer was deepfaking him be careful out there, things are getting crazy

The way to win at capitalism is to focus on what it actually does (make customers' lives better) rather than the socialist caricature of it (squeeze every penny out of them). The latter gets you 2x returns at best, whereas making new things for people can get you 10x.

The cost of generating the proofs for all 10 of these breakthroughs combined was under $2,000 at Sol API prices. We’re excited to see what scientists and researchers are able to create with our upcoming Astra models!
An internal version of Astra, @OpenAI’s next major model family, solved 10 major open problems in mathematics, quantum complexity, and theoretical computer science. We believe it will be a major step for scientific reasoning. openai.com/index/ten-advance…

Hypothesis: rather than AI being a SaaS killer, it may be the inverse. In the same way that spreadsheets are the generic origin story of many pieces of software, ChatGPT is a great, generic solution that can uncover latent demand leading to more tailored, robust solutions.

To all of you losing your minds on this site: behold. Now go listen to ep. 841 of @startupspod . You’re welcome.
quick update on how this is going: they have gone back to linear because maintaining their internal tool that they vibecoded was taking away from their actual work’s bandwidth.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya ran one of Gaza's last hospitals. He refused to leave his patients even after Israel killed his own son in a drone strike. Israel kidnapped him for it. 18 months in detention, tortured and beaten, for the crime of running a hospital. He must be released.

We are back to bombing Iran during the ceasefire for the Iran war that is not a war because Iran bombed a vessel for crossing the Strait of Hormuz that they don’t control yet apparently control. Not sure how they bombed the vessel because we have totally and completely obliterated their military and beat them in the war that is not a war like 40 times now. I’m so glad that Trump ran for president to end forever foreign wars otherwise I might start thinking this war that is not a war that we won like 40 times is starting to turn into another forever foreign war in the Middle East. Good thing Pete Hegseth, Secretary of the Department of Defense, I mean War, is headed to Israel to take orders from, I mean ask for advice, on how to totally wipe out Iran, I mean bring peace. I’m totally sure no one in the executive branch or donors will do any sort of insider trading based on super duper secret military decisions. You know the kind based on intelligence that Congress is going to fuse with Israel’s military after they all vote to pass the National Defense (war) Authorization Act. Because this is exactly what we all voted for when we said Make America Great Again.

If you invested $10,000 in Trump coin on January 20th, 2025, it would be worth $415 today. You lost everything. He made half a billion.
BREAKING: President Trump's 2025 financial disclosure was just released. It shows he earned $635,068,835 in royalties from a meme coin licensing deal in 2025, as well as holding over $60M in crypto across various wallets.

i'm obsessed with what's happening in AI reforestation right now this Franco-Brazilian startup called MORFO took a patch of land in Brazil that was rock-hard and compacted from years of cattle farming. they replanted it using a single drone. months later the ground was covered in grass, bushes, and small trees. the land came back to life. here's how the whole thing works. 1. drones scan the terrain with high-resolution cameras and sensors 2. AI analyzes the imagery alongside soil samples, moisture levels, slope, and surrounding vegetation 3. the system picks from a catalog of 300+ native species, deciding exactly which plants will thrive in which specific spot 4. the drone fires biodegradable seed pods packed with seeds, nutrients, and moisture at 180 capsules per minute 5. satellite and drone imagery monitors regrowth over time, with AI tracking vegetation cover and biodiversity 6. two people and one drone cover 50 hectares a day. a person planting by hand manages about one hectare. and MORFO isn't alone. AirSeed in Australia drops 250,000 seed pods per day into bushfire-scarred koala habitat, replanting swamp mahogany that koalas depend on to survive. Flash Forest in Canada fires 50,000 pods daily into wildfire-destroyed boreal forest, planning the replanting alongside Cree Indigenous communities. re-green won Prince William's Earthshot Prize after planting 6 million seedlings across 30,000 hectares of Amazon and Atlantic Forest. five companies across four continents built this same approach independently. nobody coordinated. the physics of the problem demanded it. knowing which seeds belong in which soil used to require years of ecological fieldwork, manual planting crews, and budgets that made large-scale restoration nearly impossible. now two people with a drone and an AI model trained on local soil data can replant 50 hectares before lunch. this is the AI work that'll still matter in 50 years.

This may be the first funding announcement that I actually rewatched.
Today, we’re announcing that we’ve closed our Series C and raised $100M to continue automating the world’s most complex phone calls. We grabbed some guy named Paul to talk about it because nobody else in the office wanted to. 🧵

Congrats to @Dkirtley and @Helion_Energy on their $465M Series G at a $15.5B valuation! Helion is building the world's first commercial fusion power plant, Orion. Their Polaris prototype recently exceeded 150 million degrees Celsius, the first privately funded fusion machine to run on deuterium-tritium fuel. They've already signed a power purchase agreement with Microsoft to deliver 50 megawatts of power for its data centers by 2028. theinformation.com/articles/…

My hope beyond hope is that there is a reasonable and caring President like this in our future once more.
As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.
