Hi everyone, Jessica from Matter + Form here. 👋🏽 It's with a heavy and full heart that I wanted to share that we are now closed, until further notice.
During our run, we featured creatives from all around the world - Ajmer to Amsterdam, Chennai to Colombo. I hope that creators - those who we featured and those we didn't get the chance to - have felt seen, heard, connected, and inspired.
"We want Ikattha to be a way to network across and not network up, which is something I believe has helped me a lot in my work," says Illesha Khandelwal, talking about her studio space in Mumbai.

"I started off by wanting to make something functional because you can take waste glass and make it into art, but it made more sense to make it into a product someone can actually use. That's how I got into upcycling," says Ekta Doctor of Wonky Works.

“As a child, I grew up in upper Assam amidst nature in its various manifestations. In the interior parts of Jorhat and Mothiasiga, I spent days watching my grandmother weave. I was always deeply fascinated," says Anannya Sharma, founder of Yarn Glory.

"When I was deciding on a name for the company, I knew I wanted it to be a Sinhala one. I came up with a list of names and Ahasa stood out – it means ‘sky’. It feels appropriate," says Daisy Perry, talking about her nature-inspired jewelry brand.

For Daisy Perry, the iterative process of creation is central to everything she does. Her brand Ahasa presents jewelry that is a perfect blend of lovely bones cast in gold, fused together with delicate gem work to create pieces with an earthy feel.
