Holy moly. This is worth every minute.
Jonathan Katz exposes Katie Britt as a lying sack of shit. 👀
Mi gente. Who else feels like this when you hire people to clean or do yard work? I put it off for so long because it didn’t feel right because it’s what WE do NOT what we hire OTHER people to do. But I need the help and Im grateful for it.
A few weeks ago, I had folks doing some cleaning and planting at my house. They were all Hispanic.
As a descendent of sharecroppers and domestics, the scene felt odd, uncomfortable. I wrote about it here:

I guess if the A’s come to Las Vegas they should change their name to the Nevada Gold Diggers as a nod to Nevada’s mining history….and for no other reason 😉
Who remembers where this motto came from? ❤️
On Site Visits this week at @ClarkCountySch. Came across this quote that I immediately loved!

Good morning to readers.
Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands. Please RT this thread. It’s an important one.
Some news: I’m leaving NPR as part of the layoffs that dramatically cut the org's workforce.
I’ve decided to go back into Ukraine to keep reporting.
But this time, alone.
Context, accuracy, and timeliness is important. Thank you @i_p_a_1 for sharing.
It’s been about 8 days now that the dramatic scene of hundreds of migrants crossing into #ElPaso happened & despite what some on a certain side may want you to think & say by using words like “invasion”, THIS is how the border looked liked today. That scene of the line with
And now she finds out the hard way it IS just her. Curious to see the damage control for this. I’d say staff and Jon should call it out. Can’t double down with “No comment” not as journalists.

The concept of #PublicSchools that all children can access regardless of background, income, religion or abilities is beautiful. Not all schools excel and yes, many need fixes but they are our true great equalizers and are worth supporting and fighting for.
It’s that time again #CCSDTBT . Good luck to students and staff especially my own first grader who will start her first year @ClarkCountySch !!!!
This thread is an important read. Police owe an apology to the boy (man now) and his family. I hope they sue and win.
A FB Group run by pro-voucher folks posing as an attempt to help CCSD Parents but is really just out to destroy public schools and deceive the Hispanic community. Can’t say I’m surprised.
To my #Vegas edu community:
Know that this post is being crafted from a place of hurt. Pain for being deceived + witnessing others being used.
I'm no politician, but I understand that, as an educator, I occupy a space of influence in my community. I need to speak up. (1/?)
Praying @BetoORourke wins 🙏🏼
Poignant thread: How Roe decision could impact education.
“Which, as you look back, was the goal of the anti-Brown segregationists all along; those same people who became the anti-Roe, anti-Plyler, anti-Obergefell folks. The same anti-"CRT", "don't say gay" crowd.”
🚨🚨🚨
Abbott said the quiet part out loud, y'all. It's not just about abortion; it never has been. The attack on Roe has always been about nullifying the 14th A's command to the states. That's right. The attacks on Roe are (also) about Brown. A thread.

It’s month of the military child and today it hit me that my 5 year-old will be attending her 3rd school this fall. But she says it’s fine as long as she gets to keep having weekends off. 😂#militarykids are so resilient!

"This would have been one of the most extreme voucher measures in the country, putting taxpayers on the hook for at least $300 mill to pay for wealthy families already enrolled in private school either through raising taxes or by deep cuts to public district and charter schools"
