Jordan’s Fakhri Mayyas wins the ‘Outstanding Supervisor’ title, Tunisia’s Sidi Amer Primary School is named ‘Best School’, and Syria’s Mahmoud Imran takes first place in the People of Determination category. The ceremony also honours Suhaib Majd from New Zealand as the ‘Community Champion’.

محمد بن راشد يُتوِّج ميار عثمان من مصر بطلةً لتحدي القراءة العربي في دورته العاشرة، بعد تصفيات بمشاركة أكثر من 40 مليون طالب وطالبة من 60 دولة في أكبر دورة في تاريخ المبادرة. كما حصد فخري محمود مياس من الأردن لقب "المشرف المتميّز"، وفازت مدرسة سيدي عامر من تونس بلقب "المدرسة المتميّزة"، وفاز محمود عمران من سوريا بالمركز الأول في فئة أصحاب الهمم. كما شهد الحفل تكريم صهيب مجد محمد من نيوزيلندا بلقب بطل فئة الجاليات.

Mansoor bin Mohammed: Today, I honoured the winners of the 10th Mohammed Bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, organised by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, in recognition of their outstanding initiatives and projects to promote the Arabic language across various fields. Over its previous editions, the Award has recognised 90 winners from 65 countries and attracted more than 17,000 entries. Congratulations to all the winners. I wish them continued success in advancing the Arabic language, a cornerstone of our national identity and cultural heritage.

Reading champions from around the world gathered at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Dubai, united by their passion for reading and the Arabic language, to take part in the final qualifiers of the 10th edition of the “Arab Reading Challenge 2026”.
The Library is hosting this stage of the competition, where a specialised judging panel evaluates the finalists’ performances, celebrating excellence in Arabic reading and expression.
The gathering highlights the power of Arabic to connect cultures and inspire young readers through literature, knowledge, and a shared passion for learning.

استقبلت مكتبة محمد بن راشد طلبة «دبي إنترناشيونال أكاديمي – البرشاء» في زيارة ثقافية أتاحت لهم استكشاف مرافق المكتبة ومجموعاتها المعرفية المتنوعة.
خلال الزيارة، اطّلع الطلبة على ما تضمه المكتبة من كتب ومصادر معرفية في مختلف المجالات، وتعرّفوا إلى ما توفّره من مساحات للقراءة والبحث واكتساب المعرفة.
شكّلت الزيارة فرصة للطلبة لاكتشاف اهتمامات جديدة، والتعرّف إلى دور المكتبات في إثراء المعرفة وتشجيع الأجيال الجديدة على القراءة والاستكشاف.

During the visit, students discovered a variety of books and resources across different fields, while learning about the Library’s spaces for reading, research, and discovery.

The final qualifiers of the 10th edition of the "Arab Reading Challenge" in 2026 brought talented young readers from around the world to Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Dubai, united by their passion for reading and the Arabic language.
Alongside the competition, participants explored the Library’s specialised libraries and toured the "Treasures of the Library" exhibition, discovering rare books and historical collections that reflect the rich heritage of written knowledge.
The visit added a cultural dimension to their competition experience, offering a closer look at the history of books and their role in preserving knowledge across generations.
استقبلت مكتبة محمد بن راشد بدبي نخبة من القرّاء القادمين من مختلف أنحاء العالم، للمشاركة في التصفيات النهائية للدورة العاشرة من «تحدي القراءة العربي» لعام 2026، في لقاء يجمعهم فيه شغف القراءة وحب اللغة العربية.
على هامش المنافسات، تجوّل المشاركون في مكتباتها المتخصصة، وزاروا معرض «ذخائر المكتبة»، حيث اطّلعوا على مجموعة من الكتب والمقتنيات النادرة التي تسلّط الضوء على تاريخ الكتاب والإرث الثقافي والمعرفي عبر العصور.
أضافت الجولة بُعدًا ثقافيًا إلى تجربة المشاركين في التحدي، وأتاحت لهم التعرّف عن قرب إلى تاريخ الكتاب ودوره في حفظ المعرفة ونقلها عبر الأجيال.
تدعوكم مكتبة محمد بن راشد لحضور إطلاق ومناقشة كتاب «هنا ويسكونسن: خليجي بين عالمين» للكاتب جمال الشحي، الذي يتناول فيه قصة خليجي تشكّلت حكايته بين ثقافتين، وتبدّلت نظرته إلى الهوية والوطن.
يحاوره الدكتور سليمان الهتلان.
يُختتم اللقاء بتوقيع الكتاب.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Library invites you to attend the launch and discussion of “Here, Wisconsin: A Gulf Arab Between Two Worlds” by author Jamal Al Shehhi. The book explores the story of a Gulf Arab whose experiences are shaped by two cultures, and whose perspective on identity and homeland evolves over time.
The author will be in conversation with Dr. Sulaiman Al Hattlan.
The event concludes with a book-signing session.

استقبلت مكتبة محمد بن راشد طلبة «مدرسة النحو» من دبي، في زيارة ثقافية أتاحت لهم استكشاف عدد من مرافق المكتبة ومجموعاتها المعرفية.
شملت الزيارة جولة في معرض «ذخائر المكتبة»، حيث تعرّف الطلبة إلى مجموعة من الكتب والمقتنيات النادرة، إلى جانب زيارة مكتبة الأطفال والاطلاع على ما تضمه من كتب ومصادر معرفية مخصصة للقراء الصغار.
جمعت الزيارة بين التعرّف إلى التراث المكتوب واستكشاف عالم أدب الأطفال، في تجربة أبرزت تنوّع المجموعات المعرفية التي تحتضنها المكتبة.

استقبلت مكتبة محمد بن راشد طلبة «المدرسة الهندية الدولية» في زيارة أتاحت لهم التعرّف إلى أقسام المكتبة ومجموعاتها المتنوعة، وما تضمه من مصادر معرفية في مجالات الأدب والعلوم والثقافة.
وخلال جولتهم، تنقّل الطلبة بين مساحات القراءة والبحث، وزاروا «معرض الذخائر»، حيث اطّلعوا على مجموعة من الكتب والمخطوطات والمقتنيات النادرة التي تسلّط الضوء على تاريخ المعرفة وتطورها عبر العصور.

During their tour, students explored different areas of the Library and visited the “Treasures of the Library” Exhibition, where they encountered rare books, manuscripts, and historical artefacts that offer a fascinating look into the history of knowledge.
From contemporary learning resources to centuries-old treasures, the visit gave students an opportunity to discover how the Library brings together the knowledge of the past and the possibilities of the present.
