We need to create schools that are organized to meet the needs of the students they serve. We need to stop expecting students to adjust the schools, and if they can't - stop blaming and pathologizing them - instead, focus on engagement and nurturing the love of learning in them.
THIS IS EQUITY 🔥. As a teacher of children with no prior formal schooling, time will & must be individualized and variable, while mastery learning and high expectations must be fixed. What if we redesigned the whole education system this way? ⚖️ @OCDSB @CarletonHeights @skill24

In 2.5 yrs, she has grown by 5 grade levels in reading & 6 in numeracy🤯. But that's not what's most special. This young leader is already making the🌍around her a better place by helping others be & feel more successful. She is integrity & empathy in human form. @OCDSB
