Replying to @JeromeAdamsMD
In Illinois, we are advancing the Clean Air for Healthy Equitable Schools bill. We also have our eyes on what’s happening at the federal level, thanks to @RepPaulTonko and @RepBrianFitz. Their bipartisan bill would improve air quality in schools.

Covering the deathwatch around whether Biden survives as a candidate, while ignoring the fact that this is truly an existential election, less about Biden and Trump, and more about whether our democracy survives , is simply not what mainstream press, much less everybody else, should make as their singular focal point. Don’t ignore it but please, please get a grip and make your focus what really matters. End

Read these findings from monitoring air quality for a year. The city is Indore, India, but the results can be applicable to many other cities in the world. They learned about pollution sources, the effect of wind and variations during the year and by time of day.
The Catalyst Indore team supported the local government to install #airquality monitors throughout Indore last year. Check out the first analysis on the AQ data collected since then. Read the 6 initial insights 🔗 bit.ly/3yCFIGK

Air pollution isn't just a health issue; it's an economic one too. Check out this @SCMPNews article discussing lessons from China that can be applied to India in terms of AQ & economic growth. Our Head of Global Health, Pallavi Pant, was interviewed. 🔗: tinyurl.com/2p9rdhpb

Narcissistic leaders are threatened by talent. They want to be the smartest person in the room. Humble leaders are drawn to talent. They surround themselves with people who make them smarter. Great leaders grow talent. They strive to make everyone in the room smarter.

Did you know? Lichen survived 18 months attached to outside of International Space Station. When lichens were attached to the outside of the International Space Station for 18 months they survived the vacuum of space, no water, extreme temperatures and the full onslaught of radiation and ultraviolet rays from the sun, and carried on photosynthesising. In fact, lichens can cope with radiation 12,000 times the lethal dose for humans and still carry on photosynthesising, although their reproduction can be harmed. However, bacteria given the same treatment died. There is even a thought that life on Earth, or any other planet, could conceivably have been spread through space by lichens hitching a ride on meteorites, comets or asteroids.
