Delighted to be partners in the Maternity Inequalities Northern Ireland (MINI) research consortium with @QUBelfast (lead) @UlsterUni & @publichealthni. Mini is part of the UK-wide @NIHRresearch Maternity disparities consortium. Our kick off event on 31 Jan captured brilliantly..
It was great to be drawing at Maternity Inequalities NI stakeholder event yesterday at QUB. Here's some pics of the piece. #maternityinequalitiesni

The latest Health Inequalities report shows people in NI from poorer backgrounds continue to suffer more ill health and die younger compared to those who are better off. Really pleased to see that Health Minister has identified it as one of his main priority areas. #sdoh
Health Minister Mike Nesbitt has said that the Health Inequalities Annual Report must be essential reading across all parts of public life in Northern Ireland. ➡️health-ni.gov.uk/news/health…

We fully endorse this open letter to the Minister of Health @RobinSwann_MLA and call on @healthdpt to urgently #RestoreCore Funding for the Community and Voluntary Sector. The loss of the scheme will lead to further #healthinequalities in our society.
