Let’s stop worrying about offending people and do the work we were called to do. The work we do changes our kids and our communities. ❤️

Our Superintendent reminded principals that ALL means ALL. Everyone was challenged to look in the mirror through the lens of equity;and if anyone doesn’t value ALL then they can find the door. These conversations are critical, and the action that goes with it.

My staff knows my guiding principle, GRACE! We want it, we deserve it and we are expected to give it. We are in uncharted territory. Have grace on our kids, and on their families. This is not the time to try to punish kids for grades.

It is all about the culture in the learning environment! Students will have so much more buy-in if they feel like their culture is a part of the curriculum. Thank you to ⁦@VASCD⁩ for promoting the importance of school culture in learning! #VASCD2019 #BuildingTheBestSPS
