‘The Tough Game’ - a Rugby League comic that first appeared in Tiger magazine in 1982. Drawn by artist James (Jim) Bleach.
Will add one each day until the comic comes to an end.

My frontal lobe fully developed, and I realized that spending five days a week working a 9 to 5 until I’m 60 just so I can finally “enjoy life” for a few years at the end is one of the worst deals we’ve ever been told to accept.
Walker has won a premiership at the Roosters.
I don’t think either party thinks they owe each other anything.
To me, it’s one of two things.
A) He just doesn’t want to stay there
B) He grew up wanting to play for another team (big team) and is wanting to realise that dream

Bought some packs of the new Rugby League World Cup trading cards. Nice cards. Heading into Lang Park later for #AUSvFIJ @rugbyleaguewcup #RLWC26
Should be a good match for @Kangaroos

Joel has a solution to the World Cup floggings we've been seeing

McLean knocked the ball out into the opposition’s player with his hand facing the opposition’s line.
Knock on? At least in my uneducated mind.
I get having the set restart rule for the NRL, but we absolutely do not need it in the international arena.
Talk about unnecessarily widening the chasm between teams.
A World Cup should be a celebration of the nations represented by the players in the game.
Have a two tier WC (established/emerging) and a large cash prize for both.
Do away with the wallopings and get some competition (and variety) in there.
Maybe I’m just dumb, but screw making the draw of a tournament “fair”.
It’s only ever fair for the good teams.
Do what’s best for business and provides the best quality match ups first and foremost. Screw ‘objectivity’.
Maybe because it’s the fact I support a lot of shite teams, but I see very little point in a team that is cleary in a different league, walloping a hapless opponent.
Honestly makes me change the channel.
Is it that bad to go easy and coast once you’re up by 30 against amateurs?

Perhaps the cruelest thing
about losing someone
is that they leave only once,
yet somehow,
you keep losing them
in a thousand little ways afterward.
