UNITE WIN | David Wilson Homes, East Midlands This win demonstrates that workers can secure improvements to their pay even where their union isn’t yet formally recognised by their employer. @unitetheunion will always fight for our members and we urge construction workers to join the union and tell their colleagues to join too. unitetheunion.org/news-event…

This was NHS England Scotland hasn't voted tory since 1955 & Scotgov retained the bursaries Likewise Scotgov honoured the agreed pay award for Police officers which the Tories reneged on in England And they wonder why Scotland has the best health service and lowest crime rate

I saw one terrifying account from young people without jobs who couldnt get to work because buses would not drive through a certain area of their town because it was too dangerous.

Who wants to become a debt slave by taking on a leasehold flat? The government is keen to lure desperate young people in with its “Your First Home” scheme, while developers dangle £40,000 towards private school fees. How to break democracy.

Labour and the Conservatives are a uniparty on housing. Far too close to developer donor cartels, and far too distant from the median voter, who sees cruelty and corruption in the policies being pushed through. As Ed Miliband once put it: strong when standing up to the weak, but always weak when standing up to the strong.
£40,000 towards private school fees. In exchange, a lifetime as a leasehold serf. No wonder developers and politicians are so despised.

If Britain just used its natural renewable resources properly we could be one of the most energy-secure countries in Europe. Instead, we have left ourselves entirely exposed to US/Israeli aggression in the Middle East…. because green energy is woke, or something.

So true. They clearly do this on purpose, to steal your money.
Hah! I went through this at the weekend, cancelling a couple of subscriptions for stuff I don't want or need any more, and it took so long to go through the cancellation process I almost gave up! This needs to be law in the UK as well. Want to cancel? Click. Cancelled. The end.

It doesn't seem very advisable to allow medical treatment that affects sexual development to be given to children below the age of majority. Better that people take these very drastic decisions as adults no longer needing parental consent.
The ‘Trans-Inclusive’ Conversion Practices Bill is "ideological, authoritarian and unworkable.” If enacted, the Bill will criminalise parents who seek, with the best of intentions, to dissuade children from ‘transitioning’. 👇

It's shocking to see 'low-wage care workers' portrayed as a drain on the welfare state. They're doing essential jobs and the only reason they claim benefits is that the fat cat private equity bosses that own care homes don't pay them enough to live on.

From memory at the time, in Europe Apps had been developed for circa £6 Billion and they worked. There must be an investigation into this, something that is the biggest financial scandal of the Tories during covid. And guess who was a close friend of Johnson?

Gas, not renewables, is the biggest driver of UK electricity bills. Pricier gas explains nearly 90% of the rise in household bills since 2020. Gas plants still set the power price most of the time. Cutting gas is the surest way to cut bills. janrosenow.substack.com/p/re…
