Stop whatever you are doing and read this powerful, beautiful, devastating story by @CaitJGibson. From its very first words, Tokitae's tale will grip your heart and break it open and challenge you to make meaning out of the pain. washingtonpost.com/lifestyle…

The call of Tokitae

After half a century in a tank, the beloved orca Tokitae, also known as Lolita, was about to be freed. Then her life ended, and a moment of reckoning began.

Still not over the story of @GothamFC’s midfielders, @meleanashim and Sinead Farrelly, champions on and off the pitch 🥹
Gotham midfielders Sinead Farrelly and Mana Shim won their first NWSL Championship two years after sparking social change and exposing the need for systemic change within the NWSL.
