Queen Elizabeth II
21 April 1926 - 8 September 2022
ALT Today, we mourn the passing of a remarkable sovereign. It is a deep, private loss for the Royal Family and all our thoughts are with them at this time. The nation shares in their grief. We will always treasure Queen Elizabeth II’s life of service and devotion to our nation and the Commonwealth; our longest-serving and greatest monarch. Above the clashes of politics, she stood not for what the nation fought over, but what it agreed upon. As Britain changed rapidly around her, this dedication became the still point of our turning world. So as our great Elizabethan era comes to an end, we will honour the late Queen’s memory by keeping alive the values of public service she embodied. For seventy years, Queen Elizabeth II stood as the head of our country. But, in spirit, she stood amongst us. Keir Starmer Leader of the UK Labour Party

Boris Johnson is the worst of Britain, cowardly clinging onto power regardess of who is engulfed in the chaos.
The deserters are little better, playing political chess with their careers.
The wounded country limps on, ungoverned.

Formal electoral pacts are unlikely; some see not standing a candidate as 'anti-democratic'.
@devizeslabour supports #electoralreform. In 2019, with 43% of the vote, the Tories won 56% of the seats and 100% of the power. That can't be right.
Hi Steve. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Kruger could be unseated. I believe in 1997 for example the combined Lab/LD vote would have been enough.
It's clear that Kruger is hopelessly out of touch with his constituents, unsurprising as he is hardly here.

Agreed @CllrIanMcLennan - shallow and unethical campaigning tactic. Its as if they don't believe they can win a fair fight on their policies alone....🤔

We don't do "attack ads", but we felt there needed to be some pushback to the falsehoods that have been popped through your letter boxes recently.
If you want genuine progressive policies that really improve things locally. #VoteLabour on the 6th May.
