Generative AI can be fun & fruitful as a creative playmate—a rubberier duck than most people. But dressed up in the framing of being labor-saving devices within corporations, they instead highlight *what* labor is actually just Not Valued, and cause it to be even more so.

haha remember when vacuum cleaners / dishwashers / microwave were invented and promised to liberate housewives from drudgery but that just allowed the goalposts of cleanliness to move? no reason just reminiscing about technology and labor
