This year's pumpkins. Vivian from Paper Mario 2 and the Green Ghost from classic Scooby Doo. Pleased with both of them, but I decided on GG's design and carved it in about an hour.

Read a children's book today that has me going, "Friends, if I survive a fire but think I died, please do not leave me to squat in a historical building thinking I'm a subpar ghost for TWENTY YEARS."

It's complete! You can find the final chapter of Fay Touched (Scoby Doo fic where the gang deals with the after effects of escaping Fairyland, 68k, Velma/Marcie & Daphne/Fred) here archiveofourown.org/works/52… so please enjoy!

Finally put in a new mailbox this afternoon after the plow took our old out out… 2.5 weeks ago. We were initially busy/there was snow and it took a while to decide on what to get, then get it shipped in. But the point is, new mailbox!

If you're interested, chapter 8 of my fic, Fay Touched, is up. Scooby Doo AU, some Velma/Marcie (eventually), the the premise is that the gang spent a year trapped in Fairyland, but missed 21 years here. archiveofourown.org/works/52…

In a move that will surprise no one who knows us, Dad and I secretly got each other Menacing Loon flags for Christmas. We kinda figured we had gotten each other the same thing when we were both waiting on a preorder in late December, but they're here now!
An older man holding a large flag in front of him. It features a loon face bisecting the flag into two planes of blue with its beak. There's a star in the upper right corner.

Have the start of my new Scooby Doo fic! It's going to be roughly dozen chapters, with some Velma/Marcie and Daphne/Fred, but that's not the focus of the fic, as its premise is "the gang escapes Fairyland and now has to reintegrate into society." archiveofourown.org/works/52…

I know I have the ability to turn down extra hours, but I still reserve the right to complain about them. I was not expecting to spend 11 hours at work today or to get scheduled for 59 hours this week. Really glad I'm taking the last week of the year off. #work

Between the heavy breathing and the refusal of food this week, we knew Clyde was on his way out. He's officially dead now. Dad and I are both more upset than we expected, since we were never very fond of him, but he was with us for 14 years. #petdeath
Earliest picture we have of Clyde the cat, from Jam 2010. He's a tabby sitting on a wooden deck with some snow and ice surrounding him.

First pumpkin of 2023. Here's hoping it's recognizably a Polteageist.

Pleasantly surprised to find out a colleague was at Pride this weekend. Look at this amazing pin she picked up!
A pin of Bigfoot flipping the bird with rainbow streaks coming off the cryptid. The pin is on a denim jacket and there is most of a pin featuring a rooster head above it on the jacket as well.
