Update on my "barely got anything done today" post: Better-IPTV 3.2.2 shipped right after it =) Small one. @JadMadi tried setting up Xtream by pasting the full link from the provider, and it just failed. Now you can paste the whole link and it fills in server, username and password for you. Also fixed some channels refusing to play when the address had extra settings or the password had special characters. Reported here on X last night, fixed the same night, out today. #buildinpublic

Honest update: today started out pretty good, but i've barely gotten anything done since 11 this morning. Horsemate has been really quiet the last few weeks, so there isn't much to do there right now. Better-IPTV got some love this morning ahead of a new release. But not much more than that. Then i fell down the Chris-chan rabbit hole and that's mostly what i've watched today. My son has been at his girlfriend's so I've been home alone all day, and still haven't had the energy to do much of anything. Part of building in public is posting the days like this too. #buildinpublic

I've seen 20+ "X ALGORITHM UPDATE 🚨" posts on my feed lately. So i actually read the code, it's open source, and here is my non-"you have to do this" take: The weights are real. Like 0.66, reply 5, copy link 20, report -234. But they multiply the chance that a specific person does that thing, they don't count anything. A like isn't worthless, it's just way more likely than someone copying your link. What's actually in there: • Posts older than 48 hours aren't candidates for For You at all • Original posts from accounts under 50k followers can get an extra slot, but only in the first 2 hours and the first 200 impressions • Your replies only show up in For You for people who already follow you • A bookmark doesn't score the post, it just helps the person who saved it see more from you What i couldn't find anywhere: a "10 second read" rule, or new posts being "last in line". Honestly though? You can't optimize for a weight. I'll just keep writing stuff i'd want to answer myself =)

Hey guys and gals! I'm in the market for new BT in-ears, but man have i fallen behind on what's good or not. The last time i bought in-ears was Sudio Tolv, and that was in 2019 😳 No hard requirements really. Decent battery life (my Tolvs did 7 hours), and ANC would be nice but not a must. Is Sudio still any good, or what are you using these days?

I fucking hate YC. Checking who's in their latest batch isn't even interesting anymore. It feels like anyone with an "AI-something" gets in. Fall 2026: 164 companies, 88 of them have AI or agent right in the one-liner. Most of it is a glorified wrapper. A custom system prompt sitting between the user and an LLM in the background. There was good shit coming out of there 10-15 years ago. Even YC seems to know it. Look at what they cherry-pick for their own Top Companies list: Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, Reddit... 91 names, and the newest one is from 2021. Same list as in the spring.
