A cancer patient is terminal but stable. His onc thinks she can get him 3-4 more years, possibly longer. The same patient has a termed life-insurance policy with a $500k payout at the patient’s death. But the policy expires this year.

stop treatment so they can die before the policy expires? This would pad his wife’s retirement and his kid’s education funds. Or should he stay in treatment and live for at least 3-4 more years, possibly longer, but lose the policy payout? #ThanksCancer
