Professional softball players are pushing to unionize as the sport continues to grow.
Three players told FOS they want a seat at the table as investment, attendance, and viewership rise in the AUSL, which has yet to recognize the union.
I spoke with three of the softball players spearheading the new AUSL Players Association efforts.

I asked Son Heung-Min about the support he receives from local Tottenham supporters groups across the county.
“I’m the biggest Spurs supporter. Everywhere I go see Spurs shirts... I’m just so grateful to see those kind of fans. I cried too when I left this club,” he said.
Here’s how close NYCFC’s Etihad Park is to Citi Field. I’m standing at what will be the main entrance.
NYCFC COO Jennifer O’Sullivan tells the media that the video screen behind her and on the far side will be the largest in MLS.
She says they couldn’t go far into the ground because of the floodplain, and had height restrictions being in LaGuardia’s flight path.
