I've been looking at this report.
You may or may not be surprised to find out that more than a quarter of victims of crimes of 'violence against women and girls' (where gender was recorded) were men and boys.
A major new report by police chiefs has found that a rise in violence against women and girls is linked to "online influences" and harmful content.
In its first national risk assessment - the report said at least 230,000 children and young people in relationships were victims of abuse.
They also found domestic abuse remained the most significant threat and described the scale of violence as a "national emergency".

@michaelJmalone1’s The Cutting is my favourite Annie Jackson book so far — a haunting, gothic mystery thriller steeped in the occult, Scottish history, ghosts, isolation, trauma and things that really should stay in the bloody shadows.
It’s eerie, unsettling and deliciously creepy, with that constant sense that something is just… wrong.
And there is ONE character in this book who will absolutely live rent-free in my nightmares. NO THANK YOU. 😳

I genuinely wanted to shake the author while simultaneously demanding MORE. IMMEDIATELY.
