Good brief explanation of the CFP committee process. The many key games over the remaining weeks will end a lot of the debate.
I’ve seen some comments about being disappointed that the Cats are not in the Big Noon Kickoff slot. A 630pm CT start is better for having more fans at this game for a huge homefield advantage.

I enjoyed all of this, but I especially enjoyed the girl who kicked a nice field goal in Uggs and yelled “Touchdown!”
Never been the easiest place to get the student body interested in sports. It’s fun to see Northwestern football being fun again!
Still feeling the rush from @NUFBFamily launching @NewRyanField in style with a thunderous win. Time for the Cats to show they can go on. #goCats

Shoutout to both ESPN and Fox for showing us full team entrances tonight. Super cool.
Gameday! Go Cats!
Today is the day!
One hundred years to the day after the original Ryan Field opened its gates, a new chapter in Northwestern history begins.
After more than two years in the making, @NewRyanField opens tonight, as the Wildcats take on Penn State under the lights in Evanston.
What an incredible moment for @NUFBFamily , @NorthwesternU, the Evanston community, and every Wildcat who has ever called this place home. Tonight, the eyes of the college football world will be on 1501 Central Street as one of the finest venues in the sport comes to life.
And none of this happens without the extraordinary generosity and vision of Pat Ryan Sr. and the Ryan family. It is difficult to put into words the gratitude they deserve for making this dream a reality and creating something that will impact Northwestern for generations to come.
A century of history behind us.
A new era begins tonight.
New Ryan Field.

The Wildcat sculpture has quite the home. Under the lights, and right outside the entrance to the student section (also known as the “Purple Line.”)
The foodie in me looking forward to this. Will be before each game at NRF. ps. Selling my tickets to Homecoming game Oct 10 and Family Weekend game Oct 24.

Grandpa George took me to a Northwestern stadium where the joke was that students went to study—it was that quiet.
Now look at the new Ryan Field.
For a kid from Vernon Hills, this transformation is hard to believe. Here’s why it means so much to me.
