Shore is live!
$500K processed in private beta, and operators are already running their own exchanges on it.
Here’s why we built it

Excited to share that Evolution has joined Nuvion @ournuvion 🚀
When we started Evolution, we had a simple vision: make moving money across borders easier and more accessible for individuals and businesses, enabling them to go Global from wherever they were.
We believed that accessing global financial services shouldn’t be complicated simply because of where you live or where your business operates.
What started as a platform for exchanging digital assets grew into something much bigger. We built infrastructure that enabled people and businesses to hold multiple currencies, receive international payments, move money across borders, and access financial tools that were previously out of reach.
Along the way, we served thousands of users, processed millions of dollars in transactions, and learned firsthand what it takes to build financial infrastructure in emerging markets.
But more importantly, we saw just how much work remains to be done.
As we continued building, one thing became increasingly clear: solving cross-border banking challenges at scale requires more than a great product. It requires strong financial infrastructure, regulatory reach, and the ability to serve businesses wherever they operate.
That’s what makes this next chapter with Nuvion particularly exciting.
Nuvion is building an AI Powered Global banking platform for ambitious businesses, bringing multicurrency accounts, international payments, FX, virtual cards, and stablecoin infrastructure together in one place.
Our visions have always been closely aligned, and joining forces gives us the opportunity to pursue what we started at Evolution on a much larger scale.
For me, this is an opportunity to take everything we’ve learned building Evolution and apply it to something with the infrastructure, reach, and ambition to serve businesses around the world.
I’m especially excited that members of the Evolution team are continuing this journey with me at Nuvion. We’ve spent years building, solving difficult problems, and learning together. Now we get to bring that experience into a much bigger mission.
To everyone who believed in Evolution, our early customers, investors, partners, community, and the incredible people who contributed to our journey: thank you.
You trusted us when we were still figuring things out, challenged us to build better, and helped turn an idea into a real business.
I’m incredibly proud of what we built, and even more excited about what comes next.
Evolution was never just about building another fintech company. It was about making global banking accessible for the people and businesses who need it.
That mission continues at Nuvion.
The Job is just starting
The world is changing faster than I can grok it.
This is an amazing achievement, humanity’s progress from here will only be limited by the magnitude of our ambition.
We’re releasing a broad range of new mathematical results produced by an internal frontier model.
We’ve been consulting with the independent Advisory Group on Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute for Advanced Study, and we have drawn on their advice and public recommendations to inform how we release these results.

Open USD is live today, and Stabyl is proud to be one of 200+ companies building with it.
We’re honoured to be alongside names like BlackRock, Google, Visa, Stripe and Coinbase, and excited to be one of the few companies in the cohort with a primarily African market focus.
Wait what did I just read, @OyetokeT can you explain this to me

Finally
Introducing CUDA Rust!
CUDA Rust lets you write GPU kernels natively in Rust, not just launch them from it.
Two paths: cuda-oxide for SIMT kernels compiled to PTX, and cutile-rs for Tile-based programming on stable Rust. Both can catch aliasing errors at compile time.

After nearly five years leading Onboard, I’m moving into the role of Chairman, and Paul Oladimeji (@PaulROR) is becoming CEO
I wrote about what’s changing, what isn’t and what comes next ↓
Team @AccriumFi (previously Ribh) has been locked in for the past couple of months, grasping the bottlenecks in capital-intensive industrial supply chains, with a focus on the Robotics sector
Alongside @ElvisChuks15, we're bringing this fast-growing sector onchain to @solana
This issue is my number one obsession in @StabylCoin. My core belief remains, we must build, operate and own our rails in the continent.
If we don’t this decade will go bye with Africa still lagging behind on all indexes, trade within the continent is impossible because payments is still determined by some bankers in London/New York.
I came across a video the co-founder of Middleman shared about how they’re struggling to get a USD account for Middleman. She basically said, “No one should talk to me about it,” because despite having so many fintechs in Nigeria, accessing basic financial infrastructure can still be incredibly difficult.
It reminded me of something I experienced just three weeks ago. A friend of mine in Botswana was stranded and needed money urgently. She was expecting a payment from Uganda, but the money was sent through an MFB and was going to take three to five days to reach her.
The money I sent her, on the other hand, took three different channels and a lot of back-and-forth just to figure out how to get it to her so she could withdraw it and book her flight.
I keep seeing the data on how many people are financially excluded, but unfortunately, the people who are excluded still aren’t being financially included.
The problem isn’t just that people don’t have access to financial services. It’s that the existing financial infrastructure still makes it incredibly difficult for people to actually use them when they need them.
Always a good day when a new TB blog on DST is released

The end of an era, what a legend 👏👏
Tomorrow will be my last day at Google after 27 years, and watching it grow from 25 people to 190,000+ has been an amazing journey. Below is a note I shared with many people internally at Google today. An excerpt is:
It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and to help build some of the most widely used and impactful products of all time. As a kid, I dreamed of helping build software that would be used by many people, and Google now has thirteen products used by more than a billion people (amazing!). Our work has had a tremendous impact in the world, and I have been lucky enough to collaborate and form friendships with many colleagues that I deeply admire, respect, and enjoy. It still brings me joy every time I see people out in the world using our products to find information, handle email, translate documents, watch videos, learn new things, navigate and understand the physical world, browse the web, use their phone, run large-scale computations on our infrastructure, ride in an autonomous vehicle, or perform complex tasks with the help of our AI systems. I hope you all share this sense of joy, because it is a shared accomplishment! Thank you to all of my colleagues at Google over many years!
Now I'm excited to go start @DiscoLoopAI with my longtime friends and colleagues @Sanjay_Ghemawat, @OriolVinyalsML, and @quocleix.

If you are building financial tools in Africa - this essay is a must read 🌋
You don't have to agree with it. In fact, we invite a critical view a lot more than agreements @lavavc_
What we need today is an expanded design space and a critical understanding of what money is.
Africa moves ~$1T+ of intra-continental trade per year.
Most of it clears through New York and London. In dollars.
There's a different way. No summits, no authorities, no pan-African currency. No FX.
Listen to @buchmanster: respect the graph.
Clearing Without The Politics 🧵
Insane data to do this back to back
We called it. You played it. Spain made it a reality.
Five predictions in a row, and @SEFutbol lifted the trophy 11M+ times across #FC26 and #FCMobile.
Congratulations on your second star ⭐️⭐️
