🇺🇸🇬🇭JUST IN: 24-year-old Ghanaian Joseph Owusu has reportedly been found dead at a dumpsite in the Bronx, New York, about two weeks after he was reported missing.
He was a dedicated organist and a beloved member of the Ghana United Methodist Church in the Bronx.

Easily the worst take I’ve ever seen. You’re not smart at all

Nolan Wells should've made it home.
Kohen Wiley should've made it home.
Javits Frimpong should've made it home.
Black boys deserve to go home.

the top donors are Ghanaians and Nigerians 🩷 the world is better when we stick together. more African need to develop that pan Africanist mindset. if one of us bleed, we all bleed. each of us in the diaspora can relate to what he endured whether we migrated or were born here.

This is most appreciated @NYCMayor
The Government of Ghana welcomes your intervention and President Trump’s timely decision.
We have always known we can count on our own Kwame Mamdani.
I spoke with the mother of Javits Frimpong yesterday and assigned officials of Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assist her with the visa application process.
Madam Doris Adu Gyamfi’s pain as a loving mother is unimaginable and indeed everything must be done to ensure she is present to pay her respects.
The Mahama Administration will take care of the full cost of Madam Adu Gyamfi’s travels and also stands ready to contribute towards a dignifying funeral.
We resolve to continue to work together in securing justice for Javits.
The murder of a child is a pain no parent should have to endure, let alone from thousands of miles away.
Javits Frimpong’s mother deserves to say goodbye to her son in person. I just got off the phone with President Trump and he has agreed to grant her visa immediately.
All of New York City is mourning this tragedy.

A lot of people not being honest in this conversation. Yes y’all hate immigrants. Yes anti black tribalism goes in every direction. It’s not just Black Americans who are xenophobic to people from African nations. And yes yall are odd to assume it was a Black American who did it.

You can feel something very nasty brewing underneath this shooting of the African teen, waiting to explode. I don’t like this.

Government of Ghana’s statement on the tragic killing of Javits Frimpong in the Bronx, New York.
I have spoken to the father of Javits, Mr. Thomas Frimpong and directly conveyed the condolences of the Government and people of Ghana.
On my instructions, officials of our Permanent Mission in New York have visited the family and coordinating with local authorities.
The Foreign Ministry will work tirelessly with US authorities to ensure justice is secured.
The family of Javits and his loved ones remain in our thoughts and prayers. May God grant his lovely soul a peaceful repose.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾
