I should shout out the companies that went above and beyond in my iLok ordeal. @Celemony, Audio Ease and @sonnoxplugins had me up and running without me even sending an email. They emailed ME saying they got my RMA, sympathized with me, and issued new licenses. Thank you guys. 🙏
Producers beware. I had some gear stolen and part of it was my iLok. Every single manufacturer so far have been able to get me new licenses deposited except for @soundtoys. I own ALL their plugins and they can't seem to figure out how to replace my old ones with new. $500 lost.
You never know the measure of a company until something catostrophic like this happens and you need to work. And with @soundtoys I just don't have the time or patience to be chasing a revoked license that also needs to be activated on my end, but it won't let me and yeah. Bye.
I literally only have X on my phone still for @HorrorNights updates. Otherwise this app is now useless.
How has nobody sued the hell out of @beatport's Funky House Top 10 genre? Every single song is an illegal remix. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Someone lawyer up and put a stop to this so ORIGINAL Funky House can rise to the top!
Just a heads up to anyone who was wondering. I haven't put out any new dance music recently. There have been three releases that came out in the last few months that are "re-issues" of tracks & remixes of mine from 2007/2008. I don't own the masters and don't have a say.
I will second this. @BlackHoleRec and @arnyblackhole have always been standup people and have always been a welcoming home for my music to live. I’ve always appreciated them and will always work with them whenever I’m welcome.
Our music business is so messed up. But let me say it:
I have been working with @BlackHoleRec and @arnyblackhole for 20 years. They were always the most fair group of people.
Tydi going nuts, trying to ruin others’ reputation is low af.
He needs professional help.
I love the conspiracy theories that come out every time a fan favorite doesn’t win a Grammy every year. Apparently all of us @RecordingAcad members are useless and the award is dumb… until their pick wins. And apparently we all get bribed for votes! I didn’t get that memo! 🤣
Just throwing it out there to the recording studios. Don’t advertise that you have an @solidstatelogic console and have the “power supply” be busted when I arrive. I won’t be booking there again. 😉
I think I’ve actually reached my breaking point as a 25 year long @chargers fan.
I totally get why writers get mad about the insanely insulting pay they get requested. I was just offered less than my hourly rate to contribute to an article. The comedy is how serious they are about the "value you provide" to determine how much of this low pay you'll get. 🤣
