Elon Musk spent $290M to elect Trump. Now he wants to spend up to $200M to buy a Senate seat in Texas and keep Republicans in control of Congress. That’s not democracy. That’s oligarchy. End Citizens United. Ban super PACs. Get billionaires—from both parties—out of elections.

Jason Kenney on Wab Kinew's comments on Canada-U.S. trade: "I don't think everybody should just shut up and send a message of unqualified submission. His call for Canadians to continue a voluntary boycott of certain U.S. products is entirely reasonable given how we've been treated."

Albertans deserve a health system that uses public dollars responsibly. Any dual practice system requires safeguards that enable cost recovery, promote transparency and protect against extra charges for publicly insured health services. albertadoctors.org/practice/…

Great day with my Castle Downs peeps. Those who were lucky to be born in Canada and those who became Canadian later, all agree that Canada is the place to be. 🇨🇦

A new Calgary Chamber report estimates Alberta separation could cost up to $62B a year, thousands of dollars per person, and put 175,000 jobs at risk. There's a reason the Bank of Montreal is no longer headquartered in Montreal. Political uncertainty has real economic consequences. calgarychamber.com/whats-new…

🚨They're telling you "Canada caved" on the Gordie Howe Bridge. Read the actual terms. The U.S. gets half of net profits, not revenue — after Canada's $6.4B is paid back first. Trump got a headline. Canada kept the bridge, the revenue priority, and the traffic. 👇 open.substack.com/pub/deanbl…

Canada strongly condemns Russia’s latest attack on Kyiv, including the strike on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a sacred site in Ukraine and Eastern Christianity.    Canada stands with Ukraine. Their cause — freedom, democracy, sovereignty — is our cause.

Excellent news
Carney: The new world order will be built from Europe. Canada is the most European of non-European countries, and we are transforming our cooperation with the EU ... In a more dangerous and divided world, Canada has chosen to build and work in partnership with Europe.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.” Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.

The abominable treatment of civilians aboard the flotilla, including that which is documented in footage shared by Itamar Ben-Gvir, is unacceptable. Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs has directed officials to summon the Israeli ambassador to demand assurances regarding the safety and security of Canadians involved. Canada has already imposed strict sanctions on Mr. Ben-Gvir, including asset freezes and a travel ban, in response to his repeated incitement of violence. The protection of civilians and respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times.

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time. The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more. But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.
