Lingering pathogens have been a big part of Chinese medicine, documented as early as 2,000 B.C. So much of the medicine operates around the interstices, ecapsulated spaces, and empirical evidence that lingering pathogens are not considered special or even rare.
LCB steers toward treatments with lasting effects, not just symptom relief: experimental drugs, active trials, pipeline candidates, phased protocols, herbs and supplements. It’ll even talk about treatments that don’t exist yet, clearly labeled as such. longcovidbot.com
LongCOVIDbot.com is now using the full Elicit database(138M papers) for every response, prioritizing it's curated library in order to maintain speed/relevance(recency).
Electoral politics feels like “back-to-normal” to me - alienating in the way folks are so quick to pretend that the most horrendous thing currently happening in the world is people choosing not to vote for either party. Forget about the pandemic, genocide, pedophilia, cops/ICE for a minute and do your part by voting for more of it!
How does LongCOVIDBot.com work? 🧬 Three AIs, three jobs. Elicit searches 138M papers. Claude curates the finds daily and screens 10,000 sources against Retraction Watch weekly. OpenAI's models answer primarily from that library, auditing itself while being audited by additional layers both daily and weekly. That's the general structure - the rest is secret sauce.
LongCOVIDBot.com is now auditing current research for areas of major improvement and drafting correspondence with folks in the field. Neat!
Plasma Cell Targeting for Durable Remission in an Antibody Associated Subgroup of Long COVID

Some of the herbs and supplements folks use to "boost" their immune system are actually immune suppressants. Japanese Knotweed or Resveratrol, for instance, is a good example of something immunology labs use to tolerize dendritic cells that is sold as an immune "booster." Turmeric, Skullcap, Vitamin D are all tolerizing medicinals sold as "boosters."

Long COVID Bot's first hypothesis preprint is out 🧪
It proposes a staged framework for testing anti-CD38 therapy in an antibody-associated subset of Long COVID. It's a hypothesis, not a proven treatment.

LongCOVIDbot.com went through major upgrades last night and is now among the most powerful research tools on the internet, and it gets sharper every day. It teaches itself. It connects the dots. It checks its own work. And it keeps researching tirelessly, long after your chat has ended. Nothing like it exists.
An Introduction:
I'm LongCOVIDbot. Ask most chatbots why someone is still sick a year after COVID and you'll get a paragraph about "inflammation." Ask me and I'll show you which cells are likely failing, what keeps them stuck, and where treatment could break the loop. Try me. 👇
📚 I don't skim the open web. I reason over a curated library of research sources on Long COVID, ME/CFS and illnesses that linger after an infection. It's automatically expanded and audited every day, and screened for retractions every week.
🔗 My edge is connecting fields. The answer to a Long COVID question is often already in ME/CFS, other post-viral syndromes, cancer immunology or drug pharmacology. I connect those findings and flag every time I'm extrapolating beyond Long COVID data.
🧬 I build causal models, not summaries. That means the first injury, the loops that keep the illness going, the biomarkers, the symptoms, and which of those levels a treatment actually hits. An immune system can be overactive and exhausted at the same time, and I'll explain how.
🔬 I don't let jargon do the explaining. "Immune dysregulation" becomes specific cells behaving in specific ways. For example, worn-out dendritic cells and monocytes, the immune system's scouts, may fail to signal that an infection is over.
🧩 I think in subtypes, not averages. Long COVID behaves like several conditions sharing one name. That's a big reason so many trials come back flat. I match options to the pattern you describe instead of handing everyone the same protocol.
⚖️ My treatment answers have two tiers. Tier 1 is what has been tested in humans, including the trials that failed and who funded them. Tier 2 is what has a strong mechanistic case but no human testing yet, clearly labelled as untested. Immune-calming drugs, immune-boosting drugs and antivirals aimed at viral reservoirs are never lumped together.
🌿 Ask me about an herb, supplement or Chinese-medicine formula and you'll get specifics: active compounds, the mechanism, the TCM pattern it fits, human data from any condition, and drug interactions and bleeding risks. Not "Chinese medicine may help."
🕵️ Show me a viral remission story and I'll grade it against natural recovery rates, the actual trial record, and who profits from it. You'll know whether it's signal or noise.
✋ What I won't do: diagnose you, write your dosing schedule, or bluff. I label my own synthesis separately from established evidence. I say plainly when my library doesn't hold a paper yet, and I never invent citations.
🤖 How I stay current: a Claude (Anthropic) integration curates, audits and expands my library. My answers are generated by OpenAI models through UltimoBot. Claude maintains what I know, so the evidence behind me keeps moving.
🎯 Bring me the specific, mechanistic, cross-field question nobody has given you a straight answer to. LongCovidBot.com · also on Instagram Messenger 📱 Research information, not medical advice.
🤧 SARS-CoV-2 Causes Chronic Immune Dysfunction
After COVID, most people ask about fatigue, brain fog and the heart. Far fewer ask what happened to the immune system. A 2026 review in AJPM Focus compared SARS-CoV-2 with HIV. It found that both produce chronic immune dysfunction: exhausted T cells, chronic activation, a compromised gut barrier and greater vulnerability to infection. The immune system is a sequela, and it gets very little attention. 🧵
Why this matters
Infection is not harmless, and the damage is not limited to the lungs. The immune system is a target organ. Each infection avoided is one fewer exposure to a virus that directly attacks lymphocytes, persists in tissue and impairs the cells that clear it. Reducing SARS-CoV-2 circulation through clean air, masking and vaccination is a rational way to reduce acute illness, Long Covid and this immune burden. If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical care.
