The 79th edition of the New Zealand Cricket Almanack is available now. If you're looking at cricket records which will never be broken, put 44 consecutive editions of a cricket annual by the same editors at the top of your list. No one will even get close, see the following...

Overseas voting for the NZ General Election opened today so I took the opportunity to cast my vote in the Embassy in Beijing. Democracy is great!

Let's take a moment to acknowledge that the @BLACKCAPS selectors got it spot on when they chose as many as seven fast bowlers for the series in England

A classic New Zealand victory: down to their eighth choice seamer, yet coming from behind to win the last two Tests by crushing margins.
Series victories in India and England within 2 years is a special effort. Questions over the batting but the pace bowling depth is formidable.

A second phenomenal away series win for Tom Latham as New Zealand captain: 3-0 in India in late 2024; now 2-1 in England in mid-2026.
New Zealand lost their greatest-ever batter at 1-0 down and finished the series decider five players down, but have been worthy winners.

Congratulations to NZ, deserved winners. A smarter, more resilient & resourceful side who have given England a lesson in the basics of test cricket across the last two tests. This group has won in India & England which are achievements many fine sides have not accomplished.

One of @BLACKCAPS greatest series wins. Lost 1st test, 2nd test match winners out but the bruised and battered attack did the job in the 3rd. An all-round team effort. That's New Zealand...

Australia 🇦🇺 - 0
England🏴 - 1
India 🇮🇳 - 2
New Zealand 🇳🇿- 3
More than capable of turning Australia over this winter as well. Serious achievements by a tough, serious team.

England are W2, L6, D1 in their last nine Tests.
They also have a losing record since the start of 2024: W14, L15, D1.

Harry Brook #1 men’s test batter on ICC rankings
Joe Root ranked #3.
Both knew exactly how Matt Henry was trying to get them out in both innings.
It didn’t matter.
Top class bowling 👏

✍️Is there anyone who tries harder, wants it more, or lives every moment of cricket like Phillips?
