Having a thread about a stone age girl going viral and having a thread about the fashion industry going viral makes me want to do a thread connecting both of these subjects to talk about one of my favorite prehistoric articles of clothing: the Lendbreen Tunic.

How can we end mass shootings + pass gun reform?
The Army can show us how.
Read my article here!
Replying to @goodgoodgood
The @USArmy follows gun safety standards that truly save lives in the military. Soldiers are held to a minimum safety standard — and every American who owns a gun should be held to the same standard.
It’s not a high standard, it is simply common sense.

Former President Carter is so under-appreciated:
-In the 1960’s he supported civil rights, which hurt his early political career in Georgia.
-Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter are the longest married president and first lady ever.
- Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize
-In 2006, he was instrumental in reforming the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, now the U.N. Human Rights Council.
- At 95-years-old he continued to build homes with Habitat for Humanity as seen below.
Best wishes President Carter!

This crisis isn't getting much attention, but the Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh is under siege by Azerbaijanis and has been for approaching three weeks.
🔴 #EXCLUSIVE: 🇦🇲🇦🇿 Azerbaijani protesters have been choking off the supply line to the ethnic Armenian enclave in the disputed #NagornoKarabakh region, run as the de facto Independent Republic of Artsakh.

I don't know about my Republican colleagues, but I think it is outrageous that it is considered "normal" in this country for working class moms to be back at work within days of giving birth.

I am absolutely devastated about Norm Macdonald. Norm had the most unique comedic voice I have ever encountered and he was so relentlessly and uncompromisingly funny. I will never laugh that hard again. I'm so sad for all of us today.

In 1994, at the beginning of the Rwandan genocide, France evacuated its diplomats and even the ambassador's dog -- while leaving behind Rwandan colleagues and partners to be killed. We mustn't do the same in Afghanistan in 2021.

Time is running out for the US to give instant visas on the tarmac to at-risk Afghans, such as interpreters and women's rights advocates, get them on planes out of the country, and sort things out later. That's not optimal, but it's the right thing to do.
Episode 9 of @DaveOnFXX !!!! Wow @lildickytweets. That was something special
Anyone else have a TERRIBLE experience with @Sears?! Bought a new stove on July 12 (and chose to buy it from them since it showed in stock and ready to ship) but now it’s not arriving until Aug 30. They’ve kept delaying my order after promising me they wouldn’t (1)
Every time I go to their customer service site it looks like this (2) @Sears
So I end up having to wait hours on hold with their customer service team on the phone. They promise me a call back and never call. What is going on?! Is @Sears about to go out of business? Never buying anything there again.
