8 PL wins in 16 games v Man City and Arsenal. Have beaten both PSG and Bayern already in the CL. Put four past Liverpool last time out. The two clubs closest in the betting are recent finalist/semi-finalists. Agree with Stan on most things but… why couldn’t we win this? #avfc
FT 0-3
Bournemouth made 8 changes, looked cohesive, front foot and attacking. Looked like a team.
Villa looked reactive, passive and something not often said about an Emery team, disinterested.
The League Cup & FA Cup should always be on the Villa radar, both are realistic trophies for where Villa are. That key players were rested, even with a busy schedule is false economy. The League isn't going to be won, neither is Champions League, but both are being managed now, well. So resting in form players in a winnable Cup makes no sense.
Disappointed for the 1000 odd travelling Villans, can't say it often in the Emery era but they weren't rewarded with even 50% of a Villa performance.
Absolutely embarrassing from the Newcastle keeper there. Grow a pair son, and get back on your feet #avfc
Cash punished for the exact same shove Manzambi received a minute previous. Gillett possibly the shittest of all the shit refs out there #avfc
Nah. Full 90 please John and the same again on Wednesday if you don’t mind #avfc
Will Unai Emery rotate John McGinn out this weekend, given he accumulated a lot of minutes for Scotland over the International break?

Still haven’t beaten us in HD #avfc
Buendia hasn’t got going at all this season. Trying too hard, forgetting the simple things #avfc
McGinn moaning at Tammy being in the way of his shot. Just don’t kick it at him mate #avfc
We’ve got the Tielemans replacement right-foot set-piece taker by the looks of it #avfc
Once again it’s the senior pros being laid back and sloppy in possession in dangerous areas. Not setting the standards required #avfc

Looks a clear shove into Jackson’s back, but where’s the appeal, why aren’t we all over the officials? Makes the VARs decision so much easier #avfc
Final score: Martinez 60 Watkins 91 #avfc
