True, you have been in the room
It’s where you told us you were more afraid of what the daily mail readership would think rather than actually trying to resolve our dispute
Stellar leadership

The GMC refuses to define scope of practice for Associates.
They haven't even consulted on this, despite a set obligation for them to do so.
Regulation without regulation?
Help us challenge that. Donate to our legal fund.

Thanks to your generous donations, we've rapidly reached our initial target of £15,000. We can now get started on the legal case.
A stretch target of £100,000 will allow us to fight this in court.
Please keep donating. Time to #telltheGMC
We are commencing a legal case against the @gmcuk over their regulation of Physician Associates.
We need your help to fund it.
Writing letters didn't work. Time for action.

Hi @RCPhysicians & @RCRadiologists
Your colleges oversee the training required by oncologists to deliver cytotoxic treatments to cancer patients.
Please provide a statement of whether you support/condone a non-doctor with no formal training authorising treatment.
Another stellar example of the benefits of the @gmcuk local governance scandal in action.
Royal Marsden policy showing PAs able to authorise cytotoxic medication.
As with most things, credit to @MedReddit (u/sildendafil_prn).

BMA junior doctor members in England have voted by over 97% in favour of extending our mandate for industrial action, and to provide us with a mandate for action short of strike (ASOS).
A huge thank you to all of those who voted.

Dear UK public,
Yesterday, hot on the heels of widespread concern among doctors at the govt’s project of replacing NHS doctors with doctor substitutes, @gmcuk released a blog about its future intentions.
It left doctors like me reeling.
Here's why 🧵

I can see no possible way forward for @RCPhysicians but for the current leadership to resign.
Forcing a VONC would only add insult to injury.

Dear 🇬🇧,
Please read - this NHS scandal potentially affects you all.
🧵 Having studied the data, just released, from the @RCPhysicians members' survey on PAs, I couldn't be more disgusted by the lack of probity, honesty & fairness of those who lead my Royal College. 1/n

Literally every single junior doctor I am the educational / academic supervisor for is making plans to leave. This is not an exaggeration. The general public has no insight into how screwed they are going to be in the next couple of years in relation to their healthcare.

Lots of interesting discussion at today’s #CFOMEnvironment webinar with @svig2 @Richard56 @DrAmyBooth. Rotational medical training impacts trainee wellbeing, finances and the environment. If we can deliver effective training in a smaller area - is it time to abolish rotation?

Today’s pay cut will come as a bitter blow for doctors across England, as it marks complete failure to recognise their sacrifices during the pandemic.
We will fight for the full restoration of pay lost since 2008.
