The Italy–India Business Networking Evening, organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) on 15 October 2026. Smt. Varsha Thakur-Ghuge (I.A.S), Joint CEO, MIDC, addressed the gathering and presented MIDC’s vision for industrial growth, highlighting opportunities in Maharashtra.

MIDC welcomed a UK delegation led by Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT). The delegation met Dr. Kunal Khemnar (I.A.S), Jt. CEO, MIDC. Discussions explored opportunities across investment, manufacturing to strengthen Maharashtra’s role in the country’s emerging genomics ecosystem.

MIDC was pleased to welcome H.E. Mr. Walter Ferrara, Consul General of Italy to the MIDC office today for a meeting with Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (I.A.S), CEO, MIDC. The meeting was also attended by Jt CEOs Shri Ajit Kumbhar (I.A.S), and Smt. Varsha Thakur–Ghuge (I.A.S).

On 9th October 2026, at the ET Business Growth Summit 2026, Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (I.A.S), CEO, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), delivered the Keynote Address, highlighting Maharashtra’s evolving industrial landscape and future of economic growth.

On 3 Sep 2026, MIDC CEO Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (IAS) met industry associations in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to address concerns, discuss infrastructure & Ease of Doing Business, and identify opportunities to boost industrial growth in the region.

Jalna: Accelerating the Next Phase of Industrial Growth On 3 Sep 2026 at Jalna Industrial Summit, MIDC CEO Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (IAS) outlined a vision to boost Jalna’s industry via quality infrastructure, investor facilitation, and Ease of Doing Business.

Strengthening Industry Partnerships. Enabling Growth. MIDC CEO Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (I.A.S) engaged with industry associations in Nagpur on 02nd September 2026 to understand the concerns, priorities and opportunities shaping the region’s industrial landscape.

A meeting was held between Shri Deepender Singh Kushwah (I.A.S.), CEO, MIDC & Mr. Sven Östberg, Consulate General of Sweden along with senior representatives from Swedish Chamber of Commerce India and Haldex India, to explore opportunities for Swedish investment in Maharashtra.

MIDC is strengthening its institutional capabilities through a knowledge partnership with IIT Bombay. A meeting between Shri Deependra Singh Kushwah (I.A.S), CEO, MIDC, and Prof. Dharamvir of IIT Bombay was held at MIDC office.
