This is not revolutionary, it's what works, and you've seen it before.
Let's take a ride.

🙂 seen the light from way back.
I’m studying French and I find the concept of sentence description quite interesting.
I think my favorite is the French’s use of the verb to have “avoir”, which is “ai” when conjugated from the first person.
My most endearing sentence is using “avoir” when you ask for help.
To say “I need” in French, you say “J’ai besoin”, which in English translates to “I have a need” (of something/someone).
Now to profess affection to someone and tell them “I need you”. In French, it’s goes deeper.
You tell them: “J’ai besoin de toi.”

The only marketing skill that's going to remain is copywriting. Plan accordingly.

More often than we admit, the most consequential thing some environments steal from us is our imagination
I don’t take this freelance life for granted.
Thank you God. 🙌🏽
Because what in the hell is going on in-house?

Hot take (that will make everyone fight):
If you are young and ambitious, you are better off being in ANY city in America vs 99% of Europe.
Sure London beats Columbus Ohio.
But outside of like 4 cities in Europe, any mid sized city in the USA has a better chance of making you rich

Jim rohn said it best - when you are at the beach, be at the beach. When you are at your job, be at your job. But don't be at the beach while thinking about your job.

The older I get, the more I realize that the single greatest challenge for any ambitious person is eliminating the guilt associated with free time and rest.
Interesting choice of words.
Perhaps I’ll write a substack on something I’m calling “Execution slop: the degradation of employee creativity and numbness of thinking.”
Today we’re laying off a large part of the Airtable team.
This is not a reflection of their work but a reflection of our deep belief that small teams ship more and better.
For Airtable, better is about to look like:
- A new Core team shipping your top requests monthly (already 30+ shipped in 3 weeks)
- Upgraded Omni, Airtable Canvas, a stronger MCP, and BYO agents, coming soon
- New Performance and Infra teams focusing on speeding up bases and increasing limits on records, fields, and syncs
To everyone leaving: thank you. If you’re hiring, these are excellent people and worth a call.

So the role “director of digital marketing” is really just a glorified project manager?
They manage down: agencies, contractors and junior marketers who are doing all the execution work (including reporting).
They manage up: VP / CMO and other cross functional leaders. Basically just a shit load of meetings and talking.
Can someone enlighten me? Am I wrong?

I’m being more mindful of signal vs noise when it comes to my online presence.
I’m prioritizing fewer social posts / fewer things I’m sharing / fewer Substack posts / fewer guest posts / fewer podcast interviews, etc… but I’m aiming to make each thing I publish more heavy hitting and impactful.
The idea is that if I only publish one Substack post per month, it’s gotta be a banger.
If I only do 3-4 podcast appearances per year, they should be in-person, high production value and hyper aligned with an audience that will care, irrespective of the size of the audience.
There’s just WAY too much noise. Too many “hot takes” and low effort rants.
Need to separate myself from all the cruft.
Someone needs to build a tracker for glasses please.
I can’t keep using my eyes to find my glasses. 🙂🙄
Same way I use my iPad to find my phone. Let’s do the same for glasses. Maybe like a microchip or something that emits a sound.
2 hours now. 🤦🏽♂️
Damn this is good product. 👏🏽

Introducing Warp 2.0: The first AI Head of HR.
Every company is building AI to replace jobs. Warp is building AI to do the jobs no human should have to:
If you work in HR, I want you to spend time with the manager who needs help or building company culture people actually want to work at.
If you’re a founder, I want you to focus on signing clients or spending time with your family.
You shouldn’t have to figure out how to register state tax in California. You shouldn’t have to pay outrageous penalties because you don't know what a DE 9C is.
I want to make HR human again. Today, this is finally possible with the Warp Agent.
I’d love for you to see it in action: warp.co/agent
