I served as a poll watcher today and noticed something that struck me as rather odd. Throughout the evening, I carefully kept a handwritten tally of every voter who cast a ballot. Each time I compared my count with the total displayed on the voting machine, the machine consistently showed one or two more votes than I had recorded. To eliminate the possibility of an error in my counting, I repeatedly reset my handwritten tally to match the machine's displayed total and began counting again from that point forward. Yet, at the next comparison, the machine was once again ahead by one or two votes. This happened repeatedly throughout the evening. I'm not suggesting I know the reason for the discrepancies, but the consistency certainly caught my attention. I would be interested in understanding why the machine totals repeatedly differed from my firsthand count of voters.

Replying to @MattBinder
Arrest a man for no crime, seize private property, and nationalize a company the government couldn't build itself. That's not a hot take, it's the communist playbook word for word. And 12,000 people liked it. They're not even hiding it anymore.

As an Iranian who has been closely following US politics from the outside over the past two years, let me tell you what was the reason behind the midterm election results in my opinion. Many were blaming the Iran war. The war in Iran was essentially a proxy war whose battlefield happened to be in Iran, but behind the scenes, a complex network of global powers was involved. China, Russia, Arab nations, the Democrats, and most importantly, the UK and European liberals were the lifelines and supporters of this regime, they had no intention of ever letting the Islamic regime in Iran go. The Islamic regime functioned as their tool, their financial cash cow, and their asset in the region, to entangle the US in the region and weaken it. Trump confronted and stood against this entire network. He knew the regime was holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage, but he had the courage to step up, take the risk, and push forward. In response, they had no tools left except the narrative war. A big sophisticated network started warmongering rhetoric and propaganda. Beyond the mainstream media, they even recruited right-wing podcasters like @TuckerCarlson , who suddenly flipped their positions and began spreading false narratives. One of their primary tactics was stoking antisemitism and exploiting societal sensitivities, repeating lies until they were accepted as absolute fact. They kept claiming this was Israel’s war, which it simply wasn’t. I grew up in Iran and was forced to chant "Death to America" every morning at school, but I never once said "Death to Israel." This regime was obsessed with US, you are just so lucky you got Israeli intelligence in keeping you updated on the threat. Without Israel, you may had learned about it after a nuclear 9/11. This was America’s war, a fight against a system that was being weaponized to undermine the United States. As for the necessity of this conflict, Trump had known for years (dating back to his first term) what needed to be done with this regime. Why this timing? Because the people of Iran rose up in January 2026. If you had paid attention, the military buildup started immediately afterward because any meaningful action had to tap into the energy and courage of the Iranian people. No one in the media tells you that the Islamic regime massacred 75,000 people in Iran, and suddenly that horrific atrocity became a non-issue, completely brushed aside by those who are obsessed with Gaza. The fearmongers constantly tried to claim that this is just another "forever war," when in reality, Trump was actively preventing a repeat of the Iraq and Afghanistan disasters. What happened back then was a sudden, uncalculated collapse with no plan for the aftermath, plunging those countries into chaos and trapping America in a quagmire. But this time, Trump was handling it in a very controlled manner, applying limited, gradual pressure to steadily weaken the regime so the people could take their country back themselves, without needing any American boots on the ground. They knew full well that there were no boots on the ground in Iran and that their claims were baseless, yet they intentionally made mountains out of molehills to distort public opinion and hence bail out the regime. But it changes nothing for @realDonaldTrump , he finishes what he starts, and this will become his lasting legacy. Sadly, by making these choices, Americans have deprived themselves of domestic progress Trump could have offered, and even worse, let the enemy within inside the Senate and the House. I truly hope this serves as a wake-up call so that by 2028, these lies won’t work on you anymore.

Harry is correct
To my Republican friends: The middle and a large portion of the right were on board when we thought child molesters were going to jail. We helped push Trump and crew over the edge when we thought team red was going to stop the COVID shots. We watched AI, now SI, become the tool both sides will use against us while land was grabbed for data centers. We were told to trust the plan and that mandates would end, while the military still mandates dangerous shots in basic training. We’ve been mocked for wanting the authority we gave those in power to actually be used appropriately. We take a beating from the left and from the right, and we do so while still giving more grace than either side allows us. As a medic who has been begging for the poison to stop, this has been hard to watch. People are dying from a warp speed product that you still must take to work in the medical field to graduate from school (clinicals). All that trust we once had has been spent while the Clintons, the Obamas, and the Faucis walk free. Trump literally gave them a pass. We had a chance to do real good here. Instead, what was left of the country was handed to people who do not have our best interest at heart. Anyone paying attention knows it. You can’t disregard a large chunk of the population who got you here without consequences. If the side that openly hates us takes power again, at least it will force a clear choice: stand or kneel. Until we decide to deal with the pedophile demons, the ones who abort babies up to nine months, the ones who mandate poison, and the ones who fly children to islands, we stay in the cage we keep closed ourselves. There is no lock. Only our hands on the door. In closing, this isn’t a call for war. This is a call for a spiritual and intellectual uprising. A call to acknowledge how truly wrong we’ve been treated and a plea to awaken the moral integrity we’ve lost in so many ways. I do not want a blue wave to win. They are unapologetically evil. But I won’t pretend I’m not highly upset with how little we’ve received from the promises made. And I’m obviously not the only one feeling this way. Praying for our nation. Praying for innocence, no matter the outcome. God bless

Not hard to figure out why the Texas race is so close. This is what happens when leftist refugees from California, New York, and every other failed blue state come to a red state. They flee the mess they created, then vote to recreate it here.

Seriously. Go Nick. This must stop
One NGO made $115,000,000 to traffic children across the United States. This is how it worked: - Kids trafficked by cartel - Sent to an NGO - NGO receives millions of your tax dollars from the government - Then sends kid to “sponsor,” no biometrics, no DNA testing - Never see or hear from the child again These NGOs are more secure than the border, with high spiked gates, cameras, and no access to the front desk. Ask a question and they will call the police. This is why it's important to vote.

Haha.😂. True story . A variation of two depending on location ❤️🎉
I need to make a very PUBLIC announcement on behalf of those of us who are 60-something. If you see a 67-year-old who seems a little boring now, understand something… WE ALREADY GOT IT IN. Like…GOT. IT. IN. 😂 We’re not sitting home on Friday night because we never knew how to have fun. We’re sitting home because WE’VE HAD ENOUGH FUN FOR THREE LIFETIMES. We went to parties in farmhouses, machine sheds, gravel pits and cornfields. Nobody sent a location because THERE WERE NO CELL PHONES. Somebody just said, “There’s a party out at Kim’s.” Kim’s in waupaca? Nobody knew. But somehow 75 people found it. We cruised Main Street for hours with absolutely nowhere to go. Gas was cheap, the music was loud, and somehow 11 people fit into a car made for five. We drank Boone’s Farm, Old Milwaukee and mysterious concoctions somebody handed us in a plastic cup. Nobody asked what was in it. You drank it and trusted the process. We closed down the bar and instead of doing the responsible thing and GOING HOME… somebody would yell: “RED ROOSTER!” Or… “LET’S GO TO THE BOONDOCKS!” And suddenly at 2:30 in the morning, the whole crew was sitting around a table eating eggs, hash browns and greasy breakfast food like we’d just finished a hard day’s work. Then somebody would say: “Well…might as well stay up now.” 😂😂 There was no Uber. No GPS. No Life360. No Find My Friends. There was just somebody saying: “Follow me. I know a shortcut.” And for reasons nobody can explain… WE FOLLOWED HIM. We made entire weekend plans without sending ONE text message. “Meet me there around 8.” That was the plan. And somehow everybody showed up. We did stupid things. We did REALLY stupid things. And the greatest gift our generation ever received was: THERE WERE NO CAMERA PHONES. There are events from approximately 1975 through 1985 that exist only in the memories of the people who were there. AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHERE THEY NEED TO STAY. So yes… Now we’re 60 something. We like our recliners. We like comfortable shoes. We like restaurants at 5:00. We like being home by 8:00. And if somebody calls at 9:30 and asks: “What are you doing?” The answer is: “Why the hell are you calling me this late?” 😂 We’re not boring. WE’RE RETIRED FROM ACTIVE DUTY. We’ve already closed the bars, stayed out until sunrise, made questionable decisions and somehow lived to tell about it. So when younger people see us peacefully sitting at home and think: “Man, you guys are boring.” Sweetheart… YOU’RE NOT LOOKING AT BORING OLD PEOPLE. YOU’RE LOOKING AT RETIRED LEGENDS. And thank God there isn’t much photographic evidence. 😂😂

🚨 Ilhan Omar posted a video and the song she chose is very telling. It’s a Somali Muslim rap song but if you translate the lyrics, it says: “You will suffer and cry — we are the ones who rule this land — We impose taxes on our enemies, we punish them and fill them with resentment, we subjugate and humiliate them” That is straight out of Quran 9:29. The verse that gave us the jizya tax and dhimmi status for non-Muslims. It instructs Muslims to fight the non-believers Ilhan Omar is sending a message that we are all infidels to her We have to mass deport Muslims from America while we still can This is a member of Congress selecting this song. There is no way this isn’t intentional. This is the Islamic takeover of America

Elon Musk on his grandfather in World War 2: "My grandfather was in World War II for almost six years. All his friends got killed. He's the only one of his friends to survive. And he was severely traumatized. He really just couldn't even talk afterwards. Most of that time was in East Africa, North Africa, Italy. The only reason he's even alive frankly is because towards the end of the war they gave an aptitude test because he was just a corporal. He didn't graduate high school so he wasn't eligible for officer school. And they plucked him out probably right before he died and sent him to work for British intelligence in London which is where he met my grandmother. So he was one of the people fighting to stop the Nazis along with millions of others. So let's not forget that the vast majority of the West fought and died to stop Nazism."

A kid dressed as Mario sees two pieces left in a Halloween candy bowl. He takes one, then empties his own bag to refill it so the next kids aren’t stuck with an empty bowl. That’s the opposite of the parent who reads the “take one of each” sign and still tells their kid to load up. Most of us talk about raising good kids. This is what it actually looks like in real time small, unsupervised choices that show whether the values stuck or not.

If your mom dies with a 2.6% mortgage, her bank can tell you to refinance at 7.1% or lose the house My friend heard that 3 weeks after the funeral. Loan officer said "sorry for her loss" and asked for 2 years of W-2s She'd spent those 2 years out of work taking care of her sick mom Her credit score had dropped to 590 by then. 2 other banks denied her, and she got 60 days So she called me, because I'm known for buying inherited houses. The house was worth $330,000, with $265,000 left on the loan. I offered $285,000. She'd have walked away with about $20,000 and no house, and I'd have made about $40,000 Then I asked her to read me what the bank said, and I took my offer back Her mom's payment was $1,201. The new one would've been $1,781. That's $174,000 more over the next 25 years, for the same house Since 1982, federal law has protected transfers of homes to relatives after the owner's death. The bank can't call the mortgage due just because the house was inherited And since 2018, federal rules have required mortgage servicers to treat confirmed successors in interest like borrowers for servicing purposes She didn't need to qualify for a new mortgage just to keep paying the existing one. No new loan, no new interest rate, no 2 years of W-2s Same rate. Same payment. We asked for the successor in interest department, not the refinance desk, and sent this certified mail with the death certificate and the deed: "My mother, [name], died on [date]. I inherited her house at [address] and I live there. I am a successor in interest under 12 CFR 1024.31. Please tell me in writing what else you need to confirm me. I am not applying for a new loan" 5 weeks later her name was on the account at 2.6% You have to prove you're a qualifying successor, and you have to keep making the mortgage payments while they process it. The bank can ask for proof of inheritance. It can't automatically force you to refinance just because your mom died Send this to your siblings before one of you has to make that phone call That loan officer is telling somebody else's kid the same thing today

On September 18, 1988, Luciano Pavarotti gave a charity recital at the Metropolitan Opera House (Lincoln Center, New York), which was broadcast live. James Levine, then Artistic Director of the Met, accompanied him on the piano. “Nessun Dorma” was not part of the main program but performed as an encore near the end, leaving the entire audience breathless. This is widely regarded as one of Pavarotti’s finest and most powerful renditions of “Nessun Dorma” while he was still at the peak of his powers.
