Using playing cards to develop the concept of chance and prediction as part of #MathsWeekScot in our weekly Get Together. #besafe #bekind #achieve @MidlothianIWBS

Great to see these young people throwing themselves into this team building activity which tested their resilience during our weekly Get Together. It wasn’t easily but they did it!! #besafe #bekind #achieve #nurturingmidlothian @MidlothianIWBS

Great to see this responsible young man hosing down his plants today when he noticed they were dry and wilting in the sunshine. He proudly informed me he is growing chard, squash, peppers, onions and sweetcorn. #achieve #growyourown #nurturingmidlothian @MidlothianIWBS

Very proud of our young people today for carrying out some excellent litter picking in Pathhead! They were thanked by several local residents for their efforts. #savetheplanet #bekind #achieve #responsiblecitizens @MidlothianIWBS

A massive thank you to the anonymous donor who put these cute crocheted mice through our door! 🐭 Our young people can struggle with ongoing change and upheaval in their lives and a kind gift like this can be reassuring at any age. #midmouse #kindnessmidlothian @MidlothianIWBS

One of our S3 young people was VERY excited today to make his much anticipated Spicy Dorito Chicken. By the time I went back to see the finished result, he had scoffed the lot!! 😂 #chefinthemaking #achieve #nurturingmidlothian @MidlothianIWBS

Great effort from one of our S3 young people and his key adult to cook for everyone at The Friday Breakfast Club at Pathways to Success this morning. Well done, guys! @MidlothianIWBS #besafebekindachieve #nurturingmidlothian #itsallaboutrelationships #traumainformed

Easter activities at Pathways! 🐣 Even teenage boys enjoy an Easter egg hunt, despite what they’d have you believe! #easterfun #chocolate #endofterm @MidlothianIWBS

I’m a Pathways young person, get me out of here!! This week, we have been trying new foods and challenging our taste buds. Pat on the back to the pupil who tried the smoky BBQ crickets! 😱 #brave #achieve @MIWBS_duguid @MidlothianIWBS @mideduteam

Interesting online conversations this evening around International Perspectives on ACEs, hosted via Zoom. Lots of interesting resources to investigate and pass on. Thanks to Elizabeth Perry and Marianne Vanderveen-Kolkena. @ACEAwareNation @MidlothianIWBS #traumainformed #aceaware

At the end of the school day today, I asked one of your young people if he knows that the staff care about him. His reply? ‘Of course! And we care about you too.’ My heart swelled. @MidlothianIWBS @mideps1 #besafebekindachieve #nurtureiskey #relationships

Attended a webinar this morning which has highlighted a huge amount of resources and training, as well as the importance of making the journey from being trauma informed to becoming trauma responsive. Thank you @NES_Psychology #transformingpsychologicaltrauma @MidlothianIWBS

Another excellent day for one of our young people, culminating in the production of an excellent self portrait. #besafebekindachieve #buddingbanksy
