There no words that can sum up how proud I am of @KUggla26. More than a decade’s worth of hard work, commitment, and watching him fall more and more in love with this wonderful game. Excited that he gets the opportunity to continue to follow his dream at the next level. Appreciative of all his coaches, teammates, and so many others who have helped and supported him every step of the way!
Blessed to announce my commitment to Pellissippi State Community College, I would like to thank God and my family for giving me the opportunity, thankful to all my coaches and teammates who believed in me. Go Panthers @PSCCBaseball @thecoachhughes @HaydenPewitt @BAEagleBaseball

Only the beginning for the kid, big things ahead!
2031 IF Jett Gleason has continued a great stretch with another multi hit game. Bat to ball skills with great press discipline. @USASCOUTGA || @nccs_baseball #PBTFallBattle26

Freddie has been an absolute gem from day one. Just another testament of what we should all strive to be like as fathers (and sons).
Freddie Freeman says his 69 year old dad still throws him batting practice everyday because he believes not everything has to be about getting better, and says the hour they spend together is worth more than any amount of reps with a real pitcher or coach “When people ask me, ‘What advice do you have for my 10-year-old?’ I say, ‘It’s not for the 10-year-old. It’s for you, the parent.’ My dad loved practicing and throwing batting practice and doing those kinds of things with me every single day. When you have a parent that loves it just as much as I loved it, it’s kind of a match made in heaven.” “My dad was the one that led me to baseball, and then obviously I just loved it. He was fueling that fire. He still throws me batting practice to this day. In the offseason, I’ll take about two months off baseball activities. Then in January I’ll go to my high school in Orange County, and we’ll spend an hour together. I work out with him and he throws me batting practice.” “He’s 69 years old and he still throws. The last two years he goes, ‘Freddie, I’m not very good anymore.’ And I said, ‘Dad, that’s not the thing. It’s not about that. It’s about the hour we spend together.’” “I’ll figure it out in spring training. I hit every day there. I just want to hit with you. This is our thing. He thinks he’s not very good, but I think he’s great.”

BASEBALL MIGHT BE GETTING THE WORLD SERIES IT NEEDS MOST! At a time when analytics have practically taken over the game and a potential lockout is looming, the Rays and Brewers might be reminding baseball of something we’ve forgotten. HOW TO ACTUALLY PLAY WINNING BASEBALL! Pitching. Defense. Speed. Contact. Smart baserunning. Timely power. EXECUTION! Forget chasing superstars just because they’re superstars. GO FIND SUPERSTARS WHO KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME! Two organizations proving that sometimes the best way forward is BACK TO BASICS! Maybe this World Series is bigger than a championship. Maybe it’s a reminder of what baseball has been missing. And for once, I genuinely have NO IDEA who I’m picking! Rays fans, Brewers fans… SELL ME ON YOUR SQUAD! Convince me why YOUR team wins it all. BEST ARGUMENT GETS MY PICK!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Rays and Brewers are among baseball's most analytics-driven organizations, using data and tech to identify edges like contact, speed, and small-ball tactics rather than representing a "back to basics" rejection of analytics. nytimes.com/athletic/76843… wsj.com/sports/basebal… mlb.com/news/explainin… outkick.com/sports/milwauk…

Let’s go big man! Keep doing your thing out there!
Jack Beck (@beck2_jack) is an early winner today from the MLB Draft Combine. Loud physical tools w/ peaks EVs north of 112 mph in batting practice. Was a big riser up boards this spring, also had a promising 5 game stint on the Appalachian League where he hit .313 w/ a 50% Hard-Hit rate.

This dude competes as hard as anyone I’ve ever seen. No one you would rather go to war with when the game is on the line. Is absolutely going to crush it at Kentucky and the next level.

‘26 Will Rooney (@Will_Rooney8) BALLPLAYER in every sense of the word. Makes an impact in every phase of the game. The @CHARGERS1451 recruit would go on to collect 3 hits in game one. Drives this one to left. @BAEagleBaseball / / #TNHS26
‘26 IF Will Rooney (@Will_Rooney8;@BAEagleBaseball) continues to put together a stellar senior season. The @CHARGERS1451 recruit has another “normal” day in the box finishing 3-4 with an RBI. Seems to continue to play with a high level of confidence every-time we get looks on him. #TNHS26
