The truth on any given subject is almost never found directly in the middle between two opinions (for example, let’s say conservative and liberal opinions). Most often, the truth lies more on one side than the other, and those that regularly seek to find a middle-ground truth are overly agreeable and guided more by (often unconscious) self-interest than virtue.

Oh hey Jonah, I realize you think this is snarky and funny, but maybe you missed the part where they murdered the leader of TPUSA in the most horrific political assassination of our time, hampering the organization’s ability to pursue its mission.

I’m not sure it’s the same thing. War is never popular. If popularity determines whether we defend ourselves, we’ll never be able to do so. And our enemies will know it. Retreating from the world stage would mark the end of the American empire and pave the way for an Islamo-communist empire to take its place. I think the Trump administration’s biggest failure has been its lack of clear communication with the public, including on MAHA, ICE, Tariffs and Epstein. It’s as though somebody gagged the Cabinet secretaries. Nobody is explaining what they’re doing for the American people or addressing the questions people are asking. My guess is that most young voters who have lost trust in the administration feel gaslit. They sense corruption and a lack of authenticity.

Don't care. The Iran War is moral. History will be very kind to Trump if he successfully redresses that generational evil. And extremely unkind to the voters.

Letting Vance slam the brakes on Iran looks dumber and dumber. It's a misconception America "hates war". We don't hate war; we hate a quagmire. The Iraq invasion was popular. The occupation was a disaster. Acting against Iran didn't cost you—negotiating with them did.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

The 2026 midterms were about punishing Trump. They were not about how much U.S. voters like the Democrats or their policies. The party that is smarter about what to do with this conclusion will win the 2028 presidential election.

It’s frustrating that he delivered on so many campaign promises and so few people know it. And that truly is the GOP‘s fault. No messaging discipline at all across the board.

Whatever Patrick Stewart’s personal politics were, conservatives love him. Why? Because he was a great actor who didn’t make his personal politics the main thing. He made his craft the main thing. Wil Wheaton is despised because he’s a perpetual cauldron of hatred who lives every moment to make sure you know how much he despises you if you don’t vote the way he does. When he dies, very few people will feel anything.
Wil Wheaton loses his mind at White House advisor Stephen Miller, when Miller posted he was saddened by Patrick Stewart's death: “Stephen Miller, on behalf of Star Trek, and everyone who knew and loved him, keep my Captain’s name out of your f–king Nazi mouth. He despised you, and everything you stand for.” Why do these people try to gatekeep who's allowed to be fans?

Earlier this week, our dear brother Samuel Sey @SlowToWrite was en route to appear on our podcast when he got detained by ICE. Samuel is from Canada, and has been living here as a legal resident of the United States. We are confident this clerical mistake will be fixed, but this has been a terrible experience for his family. Please consider supporting his lovely wife Annie and their three small children as they deal with the legal and living expenses of this terrible ordeal. If you know Samuel, you know what a good man of character he is. So many of us have been blessed by his writing and ministry. Please help! givesendgo.com/support-for-s…

THIRTY FIVE YEARS AGO tonight at this very hour, Justice Clarence Thomas lowered the boom and utterly destroyed the Democrats’ efforts to destroy him with one of the biggest lies ever concocted. Anita Hill’s story was 100% a lie, and the American people knew it, with the NYT/CBS poll showing Americans believed Thomas 58%-24%, with only 26% of women believing Hill at the end of those hearings. God Bless Justice Thomas for not backing down and having the strength to fight back and crush the lies of Anita Hill and her Democrat allies. And a big shout out to his wonderful wife, Ginni, who was a rock of support and leaned into the fight. Justice Thomas is our nation's greatest Justice.
