ADHD Awareness Month: Beyond the Myths
As we commemorate ADHD Awareness Month, we are reminded of the importance of challenging misconceptions, promoting accurate information, and fostering greater understanding of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
ADHD is often misunderstood, and these misconceptions can contribute to stigma and prevent people from seeking the understanding and support they need.
Let’s use this month to encourage informed conversations, recognise individual experiences, and build more inclusive and supportive communities where everyone feels understood and valued.
Together, we can replace misconceptions with knowledge and stigma with understanding.
What misconceptions about ADHD do you think need more attention?

Mental Health Check-in | Your Wellbeing Matters
How have you been feeling lately? Taking time to assess your emotional wellbeing is an important step towards maintaining good mental health.
Whether you’re feeling positive, managing daily challenges, or going through a difficult period, remember that your feelings deserve attention and understanding. Take a moment to pause, reflect, and seek support when needed.
You don’t have to navigate difficult moments alone. Prioritise your mental health, be kind to yourself, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.
At MindBus Health Support Uganda, we believe every mind matters.

KYOOTO YOUTH FUNDAY brought youth together to play, dance, paint & talk around the fire the African way of healing.

Board games are more than just entertainment, they create opportunities to relieve stress, sharpen our minds, strengthen social connections, and build teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Sometimes, caring for our mental wellbeing means taking a break, gathering around a table, and simply playing together.
Play more. Connect deeper. Thrive together.

International Day of the Girl Child 2026
As we commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child under the theme “Ending Child Marriage and Investing in Girls’ Rights,” we reaffirm the importance of protecting every girl’s rights, dignity, and well-being.
Child marriage can disrupt education, limit opportunities, and expose girls to significant psychological and emotional distress. Ending this practice requires collective action to protect girls from harmful practices, expand access to education, and ensure access to mental health and psychosocial support.
At MindBus Health Support Uganda, we believe that investing in girls’ rights also means investing in their mental health, safety, and future.
Every girl deserves the freedom to learn, grow, thrive, and shape her own future.
#DayOfTheGirl #EndChildMarriage #GirlsRights #MentalHealthMatters
As we commemorate #WorldMentalHealthDay, we reflect on the stories shared and the valuable lessons they offer about our individual journeys towards mental health and well-being.
Every story provides an opportunity to learn, build empathy, challenge stigma, and recognise the importance of seeking and offering support. Mental health journeys may differ, but every experience deserves to be heard with compassion and understanding.
Let us continue creating spaces where people feel safe to share, connect, and access the support they need.
Every story matters. Every mind matters.

Supporting our peers in the mental health sector. 💜
Today, our team attended the Kyooto Experience Youth Funday an initiative by @mindbusug HEALTH SUPPORT UG that brought young people together for fun, connection, and mental wellness.
At PurpleMinds Foundation, we believe that collaboration is stronger than competition. Mental health in Uganda needs all of us working together, learning from each other, and amplifying the impact.
It was inspiring to see young people in a space of joy and belonging. This is exactly the kind of work our sector needs more of.
Big up to the MindBus team. We wish you well and we stand with you.
