What can we expect from the Lithium Market in 2025? 6 Part 🧵 1/#Lithium demand to grow by 26% in 2025. •Demand to increase 26% (from 2024) to 1.46 million tonnes LCE in 2025. •The Chinese #EV market will remain the no.1 driver of lithium demand. --> The industry should receive a boost from Beijing's 🇨🇳 Stimulus program aswell as ongoing incentives for mass #EV adoption. •Outside the #EV market, demand for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) is set to "surge" growing 45% year-on-year & contributing to 13% of total lithium demand.

Phenomenal execution by $PLS in the September Quarter. Here is my summary of their Activities Report 🧵 1/ $PLS Sept quarter realised price came in at US$1,809/t (~SC5.2), down 14% from US$2,107/t in the June quarter (SC6-equivalent US$2,077/t vs US$2,415/t). No hiding the softer price, but for me the operating side of this #lithium quarterly is the real story

3/Balance sheet still strong: A$2,217M cash and A$1,277M net cash, even after a A$161M dividend. Cash margin from ops of A$392M. Growing volumes and cutting costs at these prices is exactly how I want a producer positioned for the recovery. Bring on P2000!

Given the share price drop in the last few months will you be looking to add or enter new positions in ASX #lithium stocks? If so which names? P.S I posed this very same question last month and lithium sentiment was still high.

Is RMB80,000/t lithium's new floor price on the back of BESS weakness? "UBS sees no [#lithium] rebound before year[s] end, with cost support at about RMB80,000/t – notably, the same level Macquarie identifies, and about 18% below Friday's close of RMB97,280/t." UBS's Hong Kong-based lithium analyst, Sky Han reports that near-term weakness in lithium pricing is being driven by "inventory dynamics," with BESS the key driver this time. "UBS notes that storage installations are lagging as project returns fall, with system operating fees rising materially and tariff spreads narrowing. This has led battery makers to pare back production expectations into year end. Further, Beijing's anti-involution measures are likely to dampen the rollout of new downstream capacity into 2027." marketindex.com.au/news/lith…

Australian 🇦🇺 imports of Spodumene to China 🇨🇳 increased by 36.7% MoM in September. •China imported 970,100 physical tonnes of spodumene in September, up 7% MoM; imports from Australia 🇦🇺 rose 36.7% MoM. •Higher ore imports do not automatically translate into immediate refined supply. #Lithium

Results are in! Thank-you for voting. An overwhelming sign of confidence in lithium from ASX investors out there. 85% of respondents are looking to add or enter new positions. A month earlier it was 87%. I think it's safe to say investors are viewing lithium with a long-term lens despite the recent share price weaknesses. Yes, China is the dominant player but the role of lithium will be a world-wide story as the industry matures. The slide below was taken from Rio Tinto and they see #lithium growing 3.4x over the next 10 years, faster than any of their other three core business pillars. Going further out @benchmarkmin reports that between now and 2050, the lithium industry will need the equivalent of 134 new lithium mines to keep pace with the rising demand for the critical mineral. That's one new mine every two months for the next 24 years! And as @DrCamPerksBMI says: "Mining is and always will be essential...Choices on where we get lithium from, where we mine, who builds our LiB supply chains need to be made today - mines are not built overnight."
