MinerCompare started as a spreadsheet for one question — which miner should I actually buy at MY electricity price? — and grew into a full mining profitability platform. What it does:
• 500+ ASIC miners ranked by live daily profit at your rate
• Free Android and iOS apps
• Per-coin breakdown (NiceHash included), historical charts, full specs, and more.
• NVIDIA and AMD GPU by its best algorithm and coin.
• Every mineable coin: network hashrate, difficulty, reward, price, calculator.
• Solo lottery miners — Bitaxe, NerdMiner, LuckyMiner, HammerMiner — judged the way they should be: daily and yearly block odds against live difficulty, not a meaningless profit number.
• Compare tool, portfolio tracker, hashrate converter, price calculator, mining guide, pools directory, verified vendors.

Is GPU mining profitable again?
For the first time in years: yes.
RTX 5090 on pearl-2:native : ~$10/day after power.
RTX 4090 on Pearl or solana:FdeurwM5LNeUC9qPnY5sAnApMQDxPGtcx53NcUh7pump : ~$7/day.
The best older coin, Epic Cash: ~$2.
Two new coins, three to four times the old numbers. We checked every card against measured hashrates, and here is why it won't last:

📱 MinerCompare app update is live on iOS and Android.
⛏️ Every ASIC now shows what it earns on NiceHash and MiningRigRentals next to pool mining, and the profit headline picks whichever pays most
🧮 Tap NiceHash or MRR for a mini calculator: sat per TH/s, GH/s or kSol/s, your BTC per day, and how it compares to pools
🏊 Pools now list fees coin by coin, including LTC+DOGE merged mining

Ledger has confirmed a hardware implant in a device sold through a Southeast Asian reseller, and the story is still developing.
We wrote up everything currently known about the case, separating confirmed facts from rumours, with photos of an untouched Nano X next to a reportedly tampered one and what to do if you own a Ledger.

Your Bitaxe is hashing but the pool dashboard shows nothing?
Check the share difficulty. A floor that is easy for a 1 TH/s board is impossible for a NerdMiner.
Our setup: Solo CKPool primary, AtlasPool backup, same address.
Exact host, port and username settings.

Is solo mining worth it?
Not as income. As a cheap lottery ticket, maybe.
Real 1 in N block odds, the yearly electricity bill and the pool-vs-solo trade, from a desk board to a big ASIC.

One Scrypt Solo miner, two lotteries:
Litecoin and Dogecoin from the same hashes.
The catch is share difficulty.
A pool that is tuned too high leaves a small lottery miner miner silent and gets it dropped.

The most profitable coins to mine with ASICs right now, in order, at the default electricity rate. Spoiler: Bitcoin is third.
1. Zcash (Equihash) — Z15 Pro, Z15K, Z15 sit at the very top of the table. Price ran faster than the network grew (hashrate has nearly doubled this year, but it's old Z15s returning — no new hardware in years).
2. Monero (RandomX) — Inibox R1X and Antminer X9 right alongside them. A network that hasn't absorbed ASIC hashrate yet.
3. Bitcoin (SHA-256) — S23 Hyd 3U leads, then Bitdeer's SealMiner A4 hydros and the rest of the S23/S21e line. Every profitable Bitcoin miner today is hydro-cooled and in the hundreds of terahashes; air-cooled S19s are mostly red at normal tariffs.
4. Litecoin + Dogecoin (Scrypt) — DL1 Hydro leads; one machine, two coins through merged mining.
The pattern: small network + high price is where the outsized numbers come from — and where they disappear fastest. Efficiency decides who survives on Bitcoin; being early decides it on the alts. And your own electricity rate reorders the whole list: at a high tariff the Bitcoin entries fall further than the Zcash ones, at a very cheap one the S19s come back to life.

The HammerMiner BC08 is one of the biggest home Bitcoin solo miners we've listed: an eight-chip board pushing ~12 TH/s from ~250 W, in a box that plugs into a wall socket.
That's ten times the tickets of a single-chip board in every Bitcoin block draw — right at the top of our solo lottery table.

Home Bitcoin mining was dead for a decade. Then a cheap open-source board on a desk got a real, non-custodial shot at a six-figure Bitcoin block — and solo (lottery) mining became a thing again.
The maths is one line: your hashrate ÷ the network's hashrate = your share of every block draw. And the hardware has grown up: a first-gen Bitaxe did about half a terahash; today the same manufacturer is pushing 8 TH/s and above, still on a desk, still silent. Long odds, not zero: solo blocks have been found by exactly this class of hardware, because every hash has the same chance as a hash from a container farm. There are just fewer of them, and every generation there are more.
It isn't only Bitcoin either. Scrypt lottery miners (@hammerminer 's DC series) hunt Litecoin, and Dogecoin is merged-mined on the same work, so on a merged-mining solo pool one hit pays both coins. The Litecoin network is tiny next to Bitcoin's and blocks land every 2.5 minutes, so the same hardware budget buys a far bigger slice of a far more frequent draw. Smaller prize, more frequent draw. Different bet.
Judge a lottery miner on three numbers, never on "profit":
⚡ electricity per year = the ticket price
🎯 chance per year = what the ticket buys, against live difficulty
🏆 block value = the prize
Noise decides whether it's still plugged in in year three — a lottery miner only wins while it's running.
We list every solo lottery miner — Bitaxe, NerdMiner, LuckyMiner, HammerMiner, @canaanio 's Nano — with live daily and yearly block odds, running cost at your kWh rate and a rating per machine, for Bitcoin and Scrypt:

zcash:native is running the whole ASIC profit chart right now. At $0.08/kWh, today:
🥇 Antminer Z15 Pro — ~$71/day
🥈 Antminer Z15K — ~$43/day
🥉 Antminer Z15 — ~$35/day
Three Equihash machines, all of them above every Bitcoin miner on the board.
