Travis Knight says that β€˜WILDWOOD’ had to be PG-13 due to the tragic acts of violence seen in the film. β€œModern cinema generally tends to talk down to young audiences. But young people experience loss. They know what it’s like to feel afraid.” (Source: nytimes.com/2026/10/24/movie…)

Hello! Do you wanna learn screenwriting for animation? Yeah! Do you wanna read a textbook? Well, you're gonna! Directing the Story - Francis Glebas Framed Ink: Drawing and Composition for Visual Storytellers - Marcos Mateu-Mestre

ive said this before but i think the biggest issue with india animation is that it's written by artists and not writers. there's a very noticeable difference in the writing quality of shows made by people with experience with writing vs people who are more artistic

wildwood is one of those animated films that, like spiderverse or arcane or klaus before it, makes you walk out of it thinking that animation is one of the greatest mediums of art and storytelling ever achieved I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it
